We are happy to announce that we have transitioned from general surgery to Family Practice. Dr. Dana Edwards has announced his early retirement from surgery to run for political office as candidate for Congress. He is very busy with campaigning but is seeing patients on Tuesdays in the clinic. Make an appointment to see him for all your primary care needs. Just a reminder that Dr Edwards is here. During this COVID-19 crisis he is ONLY allowed to do EMERGENCY cases. He is available 24 hours 7 days a week. If you go to the ER you have to ask for him. Some say they have been told he is not on call. That is not true he IS ALWAYS on call. Insist on him. They can’t tell you no. Don’t sign the consent, they have to call him. Or you can message here. We have been told by multiple people that they were told he wasn’t on call but again that’s not true. We are here for YOU!

SCREENING TIME! Most colon cancers can be caught as polyps and easily removed before turning into cancer. Call for appointment to discuss if you need a colonoscopy. Walk ins are always welcome.

It’s sad to have to post this but we as a clinic feel like the community needs to know the war we are having.
Dr Edwards has provided 24 hours a day seven days a week call for over the last 20 years taking very little time off. The hospital has hired several competitors over those 20 years and they have came and gone and he stayed. They have since hired another surgeon. First we want the community to know that we are a private practice NOT employed by the hospital.
We need the community’s support to be able to stay here.
Yesterday the hospital removed Dr Edwards off of unattached call and put the other surgeon on call. What does that mean? That means in order for you to get to see Dr Edwards if you come to the ER or get admitted to the hospital you have to be insistent that you ONLY want to see Dr Edwards. They will try to tell you he is not on call but that is a lie. I can assure you if he is in town he is ALWAYS on call. Remember you DO have a choice. Help support the clinic that has been here for 23 years!

Clarification: some confusion on the post Dr Edwards still admits to the hospital you just have to ask for him and if you are ever told he isn’t on call you can always message the clinic and we can take care of you! Referrals are not needed and walk ins are always welcome:)
