Since assuming leadership on July 1, Elliot Health System has ensured this vital resource remains open and accessible. 💜 “Someone I know is sick… Now what?”

When a loved one receives a serious diagnosis, kids often feel confused, scared, and alone. That’s why Friends of Aine and Elliot Health System are coming together to offer a safe space for children (ages eight to fourteen) to connect, share, and heal.

This six-week peer support group will help children and caregivers learn healthy ways to talk about illness, manage emotions, and build resilience—together.

Caregivers give so much of themselves—and on October 1, we gave a little back. 💛

The Elliot VNA hosted Caring for the Caregiver: Preventing Burnout and Promoting Well-being at The Elliot at River’s Edge, bringing together caregivers for an evening of support, strategies, and connection.

Attendees learned how to spot early signs of burnout and explored practical ways to care for their own emotional and physical health. It was a powerful reminder: caregivers deserve care, too.
