Feeling Unsure About Your Life Purpose? - https://mailchi.mp/3b94e2a9ff18/feeling-unsure-about-your-life-purposeDO YOU EVER FEEL…
like you’re just going through the motions; that life is passing you by;
that others have it all figured out but you haven’t got a clue; resigned to it always feeling like this.

If you answered YES to any of these statements I want you assure you that you’re not alone, flawed or doomed to a life of running on a hamster wheel from one “should” to the next, without a real sense of purpose or satisfaction.

I sit here this morning trying to find some peace in my heart when I am filled with outrage at the ruthless and senseless dismantling of programs that have supported the most needy, the youngest, the oldest, and the disabled.
In my younger days I was driven by my innate desire to right wrongs, to stand up for the weak, to empower the disenfranchised. I marched, picketed, spoke out, organized rallies, addressed legislators, ran union campaigns, supported single moms, held space and advocated for women who had been sexually assaulted, filed lawsuits and wrote grants for energy co-ops.
My social and political activist was on fire and I was 💯 ok with that!
Fast forward to the mid 90’s and my spiritual awakening, where I began to understand the power of my thoughts and words and the world of energy frequency and vibration.
I began to understand that acting from the place of fear, anger, rage and meeting force with force was actually counterproductive, as I was just giving my energy away to that which I was fighting against.
Fast forward again to 2005 when I took my vows as a Minister of Spiritual Peacemaking at the Sea of Galilee, after a 2 year MDiv program.
Since that time I have done my best to live into those vows. I have dropped more deeply into the Way of Love, as it was lived by Jeshua and Mary Magdalene.
It resulted in my stepping away from my natural activism as I tried to find the balance between social activist and spiritual peacemaker. It is a very humbling place to be, especially in times like the ones we find ourselves in now.
It, and I, am a work in progress as I clumsily do my best each day to walk in the footsteps of those masters who have done this before me…Jeshua, Magdalene, St. Francis, Martin Luther King, Desmond Tutu, Mahatma Ghandi, Mr. Rogers, John Lewis and many others.
As I sit with all of this this morning,
I’m not sure what confuses me more…the apathetic silence or the voices that still want to hold DT up as some kind of savior.
What’s equally appalling to me is that the ones screaming at me in CAPS on FB are people from my Catholic HS who I haven’t spoken to in 50 years.
As a woman I have a lot of issues with Catholicism but I do believe that it is where my core values around kindness, justice, speaking up for the silenced, taking care of the less fortunate, honesty and basic decency were seeded. I will always be grateful for that.
I just wonder how those who defend DT and the unconscionable actions of this administration, including the silence of Republican politicians, and consider themselves Christian, (ie, Christ-like) make sense of this in their own hearts and minds.
At the end of the day, that is not up to me to figure out. What is mine to figure out is how I will respond in this moment.
What is clear is that I will not be silent. What is less clear is how I will
respond with love, compassion and a vision for a more equitable, inclusive and loving world.
I will do my best to speak from my heart with love, remembering that we are all direct emanations of Source energy, even those with whom I vehemently disagree.
I will sit in prayer and meditation, asking that we are all held and
guided into our collective highest good, remembering that sometimes things must break apart and die away before they can be revisioned and reborn.
And I will ask for guidance to do what is mine to do. I will find the places to raise my voice in love and a vision for a better world.
I’ll be doing that on Saturday 4/5, rain or shine, on the nationwide “Hands Off” Day of Action.
I invite you to join me and the millions who will be gathering, at a location in your state.

Find events, petitions, volunteer opportunities, fundraisers and more with Hands Off.
