Surviving cancer has different meanings for different people. What matters more than how someone defines being a survivor is getting the right care and support. A cancer survivorship care program can help.

“Getting people the high‐quality care they need after active treatment is so important,” says Jennifer A. Tabiri, MSN, APRN, who works together with Michael L. Pearl, MD and Ilana Cass, MD, in the Gynecological Cancer (Gyn-Onc) Program.

In the U.S., su***de is the 2nd leading cause of death among people ages 10-14 and among people ages 15-24, and the 11th leading cause of death overall. Studies show that people who may be thinking about su***de often feel relief when someone takes the time to ask how they are doing in a caring, compassionate way.

💬 This September, ***dePreventionMonth, is a time to remember that simply starting the conversation may make all the difference.

Our team of certified nurse midwives and obstetricians work together to provide comprehensive care during pregnancy and childbirth.

“In pregnancy and childbirth, there's always an element of the unknown,” says Certified Nurse Midwife, Elizabeth D. Krainchich, MN, APRN, CNM.

“Somebody who is completely uncomplicated and has had no issues can very suddenly find themselves in a high-risk situation,” adds her colleague and Obstetrics Gynecology Department Chair, Cecilia L. Clemans, MD, FACOG.

Your journey to parenthood is unique, and we're here to support you every step of the way. 💚👶
