Since 1984, our compassionate home care services in Manchester, CT, and surrounding areas have provided individuals and families with personalized support, empowering them to remain in their preferred environment; their home. We offer Companionship, Home Care Assistance, and Personal Care to clients in the Northern Connecticut region. We have been serving the community since 1984 and we are focused on continuing a legacy of quality services through our nursing assistants, home health aides and personal care attendants. Your assigned care provider can be scheduled to visit you at home and provide care on an hourly, daily or weekly basis. At times, family members who have personally assumed the role as your caregiver can give us a call and request for respite care. Whatever the situation, we will find a way to help you at home. Stop by your local nursing home to trick or treat! They’d love to see you! We suggest you ask at the front desk or call ahead prior to arriving! 🎃

Halloween is a time for thrills and creativity, but it can also pose some extra risks for children and teens. The likelihood of child pedestrian injuries is higher on Halloween than on any other night of the year. Here are some tips to ensure that Halloween remains a fun and safe holiday for your family.

🎃Always accompany your young children on their neighborhood rounds. If trick-or-treating starts after dark, consider checking with your town for Halloween activities offered earlier in the day.

🎃If your older children are trick-or-treating with friends and no parental supervision, make sure they know what and where the acceptable route is and what time to be home.

🎃Talk with your kids about the risk of distracted walking, which includes texting and walking, talking on or looking at their phone, and listening to music.

🎃Cross the street as a group in established crosswalks. 62% of child pedestrian traffic fatalities occurred mid-block rather than at intersections. Make sure your kids know not to cross the street between parked cars or out of driveways or alleys.

🎃Don’t assume cars will stop because they have the right of way. Drivers may have trouble seeing trick-or-treaters, especially at nighttime.

🎃Stay on well-lit streets and always use the sidewalk. If no sidewalk is available, walk at the far edge of the roadway facing oncoming traffic.
