Air Evac 109 has been busy this July! 🚁
We’ve been getting out into the communities we serve, providing Landing Zone classes and connecting with the incredible first responders in our region.

Thank you to Gray Hawk Fire Department in Jackson County for hosting us last week — it was a great day of training and teamwork! Special shout out to Air Evac Lifeteam 179 - London, KY and Air Evac Lifeteam 178 - Hazard, Kentucky for arriving in style and showing Gray Hawk FD the Aircrafts!

Tonight, we spent the evening with Leslie County Dispatch, Lifeguard EMS, and several fire departments of Leslie County. We appreciate everyone who took the time to come out, sharpen their skills, and focus on safety.

Your commitment makes it possible for us to provide emergency resources in the most crucial of times — and to do it safely!

Proud to work alongside each of you. 👏

It is International Paramedics Day! We are fortunate to have some of the best paramedics here at 109!

🚁🎉 250 patient flights later… and they still haven’t managed to kick this guy off the helicopter!

Huge shoutout to our favorite dual flight nurse/medic at Air Evac 109 for hitting 250 flights — living proof that caffeine, dark humor, and sheer stubbornness can take you places… usually about 2,000 feet up.

We considered getting him a trophy, but let’s be honest — the cookie cake was faster, cheaper, and way more appreciated. 🍪😂

Swipe through to check out the new wing bling, the classic cookie celebration, and the face of a medic/nurse who’s either proud of the milestone or just showed up for the dessert.

Here’s to many more flights, legendary saves, and questionable radio jokes. Congrats, you legend! 🏆🚁👏

Chatgpt did not disappoint!

But in all seriousness. Congratulations Chad Still on this wing milestone. 250 successfully completed patient flights! Thank you for being a valuable asset to the team and always providing excellent patient care!!

HAPPY HEMS AVIATION MECHANICS DAY!

The Pilots and Flight Crews at Air EVAC 109 would like to wish our base mechanic and all HEMS mechanics a happy and wonderful HEMS Mechanics Day!

Cole Hokanson is responsible for keeping our pilots and our flight crews safe, by maintaining our Bell 407 for safe flights! Without Aviation Mechanics, our pilots and flight crews would not be able to perform their job safely!

THANK YOU COLE!

Thank You to Fire Dept. Coffee for the awesome coffee this morning! Our flight crew ran into FDC and met great group of guys! Not only do they offer coffee, but they have so many other services available to first responders during a disaster! They are non profit organization that’s ran by Military Veterans and Firefighters on donations ! They also sell their coffee to help support their services to brew at home!

Thank You!!
