Dorothy Wright Kahny, age 89, of Oneida, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on August 19, 2025. Born on March 21, 1936, she lived a life marked by kindness, resilience, and devotion to family. Whether offering a warm smile, a helping hand, or a listening ear, Dorothy’s presence was a source of comfort and love. Her care extended beyond her immediate family, embracing her nieces and nephews with unwavering affection.
Dorothy is lovingly remembered by two sisters: Janet McMillan (Les) of Mt. Vernon, Kentucky and Ola Bowling of Annville, Kentucky.
She leaves behind two children:
• Ron Wright of London, Kentucky
• Sara Robertson (Ronnie) of Franklin, Ohio
Her memory lives on through four grandchildren:
• Robert Wright of London, Kentucky
• Kevin Robertson (Amy) of Trenton, Ohio
• Joseph Robertson (Maria) of Fort Mitchell, Kentucky
• Kayla Leverette (Paul) of Dayton, Ohio
She was blessed with thirteen great-grandchildren:
Maddox Wright, Liam Wright, Dylan Robertson, Logan Robertson, Hannah Robertson, Emery Robertson, Anna Robertson, Max Robertson, Ty Robertson, Brayden Leverette, Blake Leverette, Mason Leverette, and Maren Leverette.
Dorothy also welcomed one great-great-grandson, Greyson Robertson, whose arrival brought joy to five generations of family.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Tonya Michelle Wright, and granddaughter, Sarah Victoria Watson; her parents, Howell and Sarah Bowling; three brothers, Harvey, Coy and Elmer Bowling; and four sisters, Rhoda Collins, Lillian Mullins, Mona Holland, and Lettie Chinn. Their memories remained close to her heart throughout her life.
Services for Dorothy Wright Kahny will be conducted on Saturday, August 23, 2025 at 1 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Joey Burns will be presiding. Burial will follow in the Martin Cemetery in Oneida, Kentucky.
The family will receive friends and loved ones on Saturday after 12 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.

She is survived by her daughter: Lisa Hubbard Garrett and husband Danny; her boyfriend: Danny Garrett.

She is preceded in death by her parents: Leonard and Peggy Mueller and her husband Lawrence Dean Parks and her son: Troy Parks.

Cashton Trayce Warren, age 19 went to his heavenly home on Saturday, August 16, 2025. He was born on Friday, September 2, 2005 in Corbin, Kentucky to William Warren and Melissa (Abner) Garrison. He worked for Warren’s Body Shop.

He leaves to mourn his passing his son: Carston Warren, his father: William Warren, his mother: Melissa Garrison and her husband John as well as his grandparents: Rick and Lisa Abner and great grandfather: Lacy Abner. Also surviving is his brother: James Warren and his wife Darlene and his sister: Caylyn Warren and her fiancé Jordan Gray, his nephews: Will, Jamie and Aaron and his great nephew: Tucker as well as Betty Bishop who was a second mom to Cashton and a host of other family and friends.

Chelsea Bundy, age 84 passed away on Wednesday, August 13, 2025 in Texas. She was born on Sunday, June 1, 1941 in Helena, Kentucky to Oscar and Nannie (McCreary) Bundy. She was a waitress and homemaker.

She is survived by her sons: Stanley M. Miller and James E. Miller, her grandsons: Ryan Oscar, Adrain Miller and Branden Miller, her step grandchildren: Michael and Casey and her step great grandchildren: Kaden, Riley and Hunter. She is also survived by her brothers and sisters: Holly Ruth, Barbara Cook, Marvin Bundy, Shirley Bundy and Clark Bundy.

Sillus Lee Jr.,a devoted father, loyal brother, proud son, and hardworking pipeliner, passed away on Monday, August 4th, 2025 at the age of 59. Sillus was born on Thursday, March 24, 1966 to the union of Rev. Sill and Sallie (Gray) Lee. He was of the holiness faith.

A simple man with a big heart, he found his greatest joy in the love of his two daughters, Kimberly and Madison. To them, he wasn’t just a dad—he was a constant, steady presence, full of love, laughter and strength.

He took great pride in his work as a pipeliner, a job he loved and poured himself into. His life’s pleasures were simple: a cold carton of Coke, a pack of KY Best, and good music playing in the background.

He shared a special bond with his brother Jimmy, who was also his best friend. His sister Connie was the one he could always count on, and no one ever doubted that he was a momma’s boy through and through. His love for his mother was deep and unwavering, something sacred and central to who he was.

Sillus lived a life marked by his love and dedication for his family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

He leaves to mourn his passing his two daughters: Kimberly Hamilton and husband Michael and Madison Lee; his mother: Sallie Lee; his brother and sister: Jimmy Lee and Connie Farmer and husband Russell.

Julia Ann Jarvis, age 76 of Manchester went to her heavenly home on Tuesday, August 5, 2025. She was born on Tuesday, May 10, 1949 in Manchester to Charles and Reva (Edwards) Smith. She worked at Phillps Diversified and was a member of the Horse Creek Baptist Church.

She is survived by her siblings: Jeanie Smith, Bill Smith and his wife Aretta, Kenneth Smith and his wife Billie Joyce, Doug Smith and his wife Carla, Terry Smith and his wife Judy and Lois Hobbs and her husband David, also surviving are these nieces and nephews: Herman Smith, Susan Curry, Michael Darnold, Dwayne Smith, Brent Darnold, Nicole Smith, Teketa Stevens, Jason Smith, Justin Smith, Renee Hacker, Ashley Smith and Brenda Ann Baker as well as a host of great nieces and nephews.

Roy Wagers, age 76, departed this life on August 2, 2025 at his home. He was born on Tuesday, September 28, 1948 in Manchester, Ky to Beve and Rosie (Curry) Wagers. He loved his family and riding four wheelers. He also loved to go looking for ginseng. He was a retired coal miner with Leeco.
Roy survived by his children: Patricia Smith and husband Elvis, Roy Glenn Wagers and Jessica Curry; these grandchildren: Brandon Smith, April Rodriguez, George Michael Smith, Josh Vallance, Jake Vallance, Jadelynn Baird and Eric Wagers; these great grandchildren: Alexis Rodriguez, Peyton Nevaeh Smith, Addalyn Collett and Lyla Bowling. Also surviving are these brothers and sister: Troy Wagers, Brenda Walters, and James Wagers.

Bessie (Crawford) Brown, age 82 went to her heavenly home on Saturday, August 2, 2025. She was born on Sunday, July 18, 1943 in Blue Hole, Kentucky to Milton and Versie (Smith) Crawford. She was a retired school teacher and school counselor for the Clay County Board of Education and a member of the Zion Baptist Church. Bessie was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend and a child of God.

She is survived by her loving husband of over 63 years: Jimmy Brown, her children: Shannon Philpot and her husband Mitchell, Jimmy Brown and his wife TaLaura and Camron Brown, her grandchildren: Jacob Philpot and his wife Lisa Marie and Greyson Philpot.

Carl Barnes, age 84 of Sizerock, Kentucky passed away peacefully at his home with family present on Tuesday, July 29, 2025. Carl was a lifelong resident of Sizerock, Kentucky except for a period where he and his wife Mary Esther lived in South Lebanon, Ohio while working at GE. Carl owned his own business, Barnes Auto Sales where he rebuilt, repaired and sold vehicles for over 60 years until he retired and his son: Rick continued operating the business. Even after retirement, Carl could be found in the garage working on cars and interacting with customers as this was a true passion for Carl. He passed this passion for rebuilding vehicles down to his son (Rick) and his grandsons.

Carl was an active member of the Sizerock Baptist Church where he was a deacon and Sunday School Superintendent until his passing. Over the years, Carl also taught the Junior Boys in Sunday School and later taught the Adult Sunday Class for over 35 years. Carl’s family would often find him reading his Bible and drinking a stiff cup of coffee in the early morning hours before others woke for the day.

Over the years, Carl enjoyed spending time with his family. He and his wife, Mary Esther would make Sunday dinners for the large family they fed every Sunday and planned fish fries with the assistance of their son: Rick and grandson: Andrew. Carl also enjoyed playing golf with family and friends and taking his family to the beach for a family vacation every summer for over 60 years.

Carl’s greatest joy was his Christian faith, he oftentimes shared his Christian faith with customers at the body shop or those he interacted with in the public setting. As may people have written condolences to the family, they have commented on Carl’s unwavering faith.
Carl’s dedication to his family was also very commendable, he would often be found transporting his grandchildren to and from school, sports related or academic activities and cheerleading events.

Carl was the eldest son of the late Sim and Ella Barnes of Sizerock, Kentucky. He is survived by his wife of 64 years: Mary Esther Webb Barnes, a brother: Darrell (Ora) Barnes of London, Kentucky, a sister: Lorene B. Sizemore of Sizerock, Kentucky, a brother: Fred Barnes (Brenda) of Hyden, Kentucky, 2 daughters: Sherry Kelly (Jeff) of London, Kentucky Robin Lewis (Phillip) of Hoskins, Kentucky and one son: Carl “Rick” Barnes (Sherrie) of Sizerock, Kentucky, 5 grandchildren: Justin (Megan) Barnes, Gabriella Bailey (Tyler), Andrew Barnes (Nancy), Preston Lewis and Maxwell Lewis and 2 great grandchildren: Jay Bailey and Jace Barnes.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to The Gideons International.

Family will receive friends and loved ones on Monday, August 4, 2025 from 6 PM until 8 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel and on Tuesday, August 5, 2025 after 11 AM at the Sizerock Baptist Church. Servies will follow at 1 PM on Tuesday at the Sizerock Bapist Church with Rev. Carl Brown and Rev. George Abner officiating the servies. Interment will follow in the Maxaline Baker Cemetery in Oneida, Kentucky.

She was a business woman, designer, co-owner of Rebecca Leigh Accents and entrepreneur and a member of the King’s Way Church of Manchester.

John Nolan of Manchester departed life on July 26, 2025, to his heavenly home, the good Lord blessed him to live 96 years on this earth. John was born in Beverly, Ky, he was a member of the Katies Creek United Baptist Church.

John lived most his life on Red Bird where he raised his family, he enjoyed gardening, walking in the mountains, whittling, hunting and spending time with his family. John retired after 35 years of employment at the Red Bird Mission.

He is preceded in death by his parents: Sylvester Nolan and Ollie (Sizemore) Nolan. Wife Nellie (Holland) Nolan. Infant daughter Charlene Nolan, Daughter Darlene Mitchell, Grandsons Jeffrey Mitchell and Jonathan Mitchell. Brothers Sam and Preston Nolan. Sisters Martha Nolan Roark, Anna Lee Smith and Nancy Osborne.
