Why early quad activation matters after ACL surgery (and why we use NMES via Emsculpt Neo)

After ACL reconstruction, one of the biggest rehab challenges isn’t just weakness — it’s something called arthrogenic muscle inhibition (AMI).

👉 Research shows this inhibition can persist months or even years after ACL surgery and is strongly linked to:
• Ongoing quad weakness
• Movement asymmetries
• Altered landing and cutting mechanics
• Increased risk of reinjury
