Why is it that most athletes and active adults dealing with chronic shoulder pain have already gone through the checklist...
..still struggle with lingering and reoccurring pain when they try to get back to their daily activates?
If you've seen a generic PT in the past, they probably gave you the standard "generic" treatment.
Rotator cuff exercises. Band work. Rest. Maybe even massage, chiropractic, or injections.
But despite following their advice, the pain still finds a way back in.
The truth is, these generic approaches often miss a key piece that keeps the shoulder locked up long after the injury should have healed.
It’s something called a protective reflex... triggered by the nervous system... that causes the surrounding muscles to guard the area and limit mobility.
Unless that reflex is addressed, progress tends to stall out.
Resulting in short, temporary relief, before it flare-ups again.
