What happens when two women who’ve mastered duty, discipline, and determination end up in our Edgewood Mandan community? Instant friendship.

Jan, now a resident, brings resilience and grit to everything she does. She broke barriers before it was fashionable; running the Fort Bragg mess hall solo and training new officers at a time when women were still fighting for respect in the military.

Today, as an RN, Amber blends her military precision with compassionate care. She took her days of keeping ships in tip-top shape as a logistics specialist, and translates those skills into her deep commitment for helping others.

Jan and Amber are two extraordinary women whose lives have been defined by service. They bring the discipline they refined in the military into everything they do today. Their experiences shape not only how they navigate daily life but also how they connect with others.

At Edgewood, it's people like this that prove a shared spirit of service can create a bond stronger than any uniform. We are Edgewood.
