Did you know your clothes can affect your skin’s health?
Your skin has a natural pH (around 4.5–5.5), which keeps its barrier strong and protects against irritation. But some fabrics can throw that balance off — especially synthetics like polyester and nylon, which trap heat and moisture against the skin. Over time, this can lead to dryness, irritation, or breakouts.
That’s why I personally reach for natural, breathable fabrics like:
• Linen – light, breathable, and antimicrobial by nature.
• Muslin – soft and airy, perfect for sensitive skin.
• Cotton (especially Turkish cotton) – absorbent, temperature-regulating, and gentle enough for daily wear.
When our skin can breathe and stay balanced, it stays healthier — and we feel better in it.
