🇺🇸 DC. Last Day. Walked from the hotel in Georgetown to the National Mall to see the Lincoln, MLK, Vietnam, FDR Memorials… all were closed to the public (until 7/09)…whomp whomp. 😞 The Ellipse WAS actually open. Got to catch a glimpse of the White House party decorations, Boy Scouts of America memorial, the National Independence Day Parade, the national gallery of art, best pizza EVER at Sal’s NY Pizza in federal plaza 🍕
…and we’re toast 🍞 40 miles walked in 5 days. Watching the fireworks later from our room. 🎆
Early ✈️ Ready to be home in our beds.🥱🛏

⛺️We got to visit Camp Hood today for family day.
It was hot. 🔥 Hell-fire hot. E had a meltdown.
L was so excited we made it. We got to watch him win 🛶 canoe tug-o-war and a 💦 water sports award. 🥇He led us on a tour of the camp before dinner and we got a great shot for our family album cover.🤣

Summer kicked off early and we’ve been non-stop since May 20th. 😳This mama is ready for routine. Starting Sunday with self-care sounded like a fantastic idea. It was. 💕 Ready for those dog days to start rolling in, less chauffeuring to and from rehearsals, and more time to get this hour of “me time” in each day.
