Carl clearly understood the assignment today… he hopped right onto the table and even rolled over for his photos like a pro. ⭐

Today’s visit was for a recheck exam and radiographs to monitor his pneumonia, and Carl made the process smooth and stress-free for everyone.

X-rays play an important role in cases like this. They allow veterinarians to assess the lungs and track how well a pet is responding to treatment—something that cannot be fully evaluated through a physical exam alone.

Radiographs help:
• Monitor conditions like pneumonia
• Detect fractures or injuries
• Identify foreign objects that may have been swallowed
• Check the heart, lungs, and other internal organs

With Carl being such a calm and cooperative patient, the team was able to capture clear images quickly, helping guide the next steps in his care.

Rechecks are just as important as the initial visit. They help ensure that treatment is working and that your pet is on the right path to recovery.

If your pet has been diagnosed with a condition that requires follow-up, do not skip those recheck appointments. They make a difference.

Easter is a time for fresh starts and quiet moments with the ones who matter—including your dogs and cats.

As you celebrate, remember that some Easter treats like chocolate and certain plants can be harmful to pets. A little awareness helps keep them safe.

From all of us at Mandeville Animal Hospital, wishing you a peaceful and joyful Easter.

Some patients just need a little extra comfort… and sometimes that comfort comes with four paws. 🐾

Felicia and Viviana are making Wren feel comfortable. 💙

Wren came in with a broken canine tooth, a condition that can be very painful and may lead to infection if not treated promptly. Dr. Liza performed a tooth extraction to remove the damaged tooth and prevent further complications.

Moments like this matter. Gentle handling and reassurance from Felicia and Viviana help reduce stress and keep patients calm before, during, and after procedures. A relaxed pet allows for safer treatment and a smoother recovery.

At Mandeville Animal Hospital, care goes beyond the procedure. It includes comfort, patience, and attention to your pet’s overall wellbeing every step of the way.

📍 If you notice signs like difficulty eating, drooling, or sensitivity in your pet, have them checked early.

Every wagging tail after treatment.
Every purr during recovery.
Every relieved pet parent.

These are the reasons we continue.

💜A reminder to every pet owner: your commitment matters too. Preventive care, regular check-ups, and timely treatment can make all the difference.

Because in the end, it has always been about them.

Thank you for sharing this Geaux Wild Rehab!

ONE COYOTE. EVERY MINUTE.
In the United States, an estimated half a million coyotes are killed every year—shot, trapped, and poisoned. That’s one life lost every single minute… and even that may be an underestimate.
This isn’t science-based wildlife management. It’s driven by outdated myths and long-standing fear.
Coyotes are incredibly resilient, but that resilience is often misunderstood. Decades of research show that killing coyotes does NOT reduce conflict or control populations. In fact, it can make things worse—disrupting family structures and leading to younger, less experienced animals who are more likely to come into conflict with people.
Left alone, coyotes naturally regulate their populations based on available food and play a vital role in keeping ecosystems balanced—both in wild spaces and right here in our communities.
They are intelligent. They are family-oriented. And they deserve better than unregulated, year-round persecution.
It’s time to shift from fear to understanding.
From killing to coexistence.
Together, we can make “one per minute” a thing of the past.
