Some patients steal everyone’s hearts the moment they walk through the door… and Apollo is definitely one of them. 🤍

From cuddle sessions to extra love from the team, Apollo enjoyed his boarding stay here at Mandeville Animal Hospital like a true VIP. Comfortable, cared for, and surrounded by people who adore him every step of the way.

Boarding is more than just a place to stay. It is about making pets feel safe, loved, and right at home while their families are away. Apollo is reminding us all how important comfort, attention, and affection are for our furry companions. 🐾

Fluffy coats are adorable, although they also need extra care 🐾✨

Breeds like Shih Tzus are more prone to skin irritation, ear infections, dental disease, and overheating because of their long hair and short snouts. Regular grooming and wellness checks are not just about appearance. They play an important role in overall health and comfort.

Beautiful Juju visited Mandeville Animal Hospital looking fresh, fluffy, and fabulous 💖

A few important reminders for Shih Tzu parents:
🐶 Brush the coat daily to prevent painful mats
👂 Check ears weekly for odor, redness, or buildup
🦷 Small breeds are prone to dental disease, so routine dental care matters
👀 Keep facial folds and eyes clean and dry to reduce irritation
🌡️ Flat-faced breeds can overheat faster, especially during warm weather
🩺 Routine exams help detect issues early before they become serious

Preventive care helps pets stay comfortable, healthy, and happy through every stage of life ✨

Today, Mandeville Animal Hospital honors the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to their country. Memorial Day is a time to remember their courage, sacrifice, and dedication.

As families gather today, may we also take a moment to appreciate the freedom and peace made possible through their service. Their legacy lives on through the lives they protected and the memories we continue to carry.

From all of us at Mandeville Animal Hospital, we remember and honor our fallen heroes this Memorial Day. 🇺🇸

While many know Dr. Liza for caring for puppies, kittens, and beloved family pets, she also feels it is her calling and responsibility to advocate for the wellbeing and safety of all animals, including local wildlife. Living alongside wildlife comes with responsibility, and simple precautions like supervising pets outdoors, securing food sources, and staying alert can make a big difference for both pets and native animals.

As coyote sightings continue across the Northshore, it is important for pet owners and the community to stay informed and aware. Proud to see Dr. Liza Ledet DiTommaso featured in the conversation about the need for education, safety, and a thoughtful approach to wildlife management.

Thank you to everyone working to create a safer and more informed community for animals and people alike. 🐾

Beaux got Ketamine CRI and Acupuncture as part of his pain management plan to help keep him comfortable and more at ease.

Ketamine CRI helps with pain control by adjusting how the body processes pain signals, while acupuncture offers a gentle, supportive approach for relaxation and overall wellbeing. Together, these are part of an integrative medicine approach that looks at the patient as a whole, especially helpful for pets dealing with chronic pain.

We also made some medication adjustments and added Chinese herbs to further support his comfort and long-term management.

At Mandeville Animal Hospital, Dr. Liza Ledet builds each plan based on what the patient truly needs. No one-size-fits-all approach, just thoughtful, individualized care.

If your pet has been acting stiff, sore, or just “not quite themselves,” feel free to book a consult. We’re here to help them feel like themselves again. 🐾

Bean and Georgia understood the assignment immediately: hang out, be cute, and make everyone’s day better. 😆

Honestly, pets have a way of reminding us that life does not always need to be complicated. Sometimes all you need is good company, snacks, and a comfortable spot to chill.

Tag someone whose pet would totally fit into this duo energy 😁👇

Some cats walk into the hospital with main character energy… and then there is Ringo 😎🐾

Cool, calm, unbothered, and fully focused on his Churu reward during his visit at Mandeville Animal Hospital. Safe to say Ringo knows exactly how to turn a vet appointment into a snack date.

Visits do not always have to feel stressful. A little patience, gentle care, and a tasty treat can make all the difference for our feline friends. And honestly, Ringo made himself right at home. 🐱✨

Book your cat’s wellness visit with us today. We are always happy to spoil our feline patients with extra love and maybe a little Churu too. 💙
