We’re celebrating a big win at Pierce Counseling! 🏅

Craig Pierce, Jr., LCSW has been named a Northshore’s Best 2025 recipient for Best Psychotherapist by Sophisticated Woman Magazine.

If you know Craig, this probably does not surprise you. He is known for being genuine, thoughtful, practical, and deeply committed to helping people do the real work of healing.

Craig has recently been focusing even more on couples counseling, helping partners reconnect and move forward with more clarity and alignment. He is also a certified anger management specialist and is passionate about helping clients better understand emotions, patterns, and relationships.

Meet Lilia Henriquez, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, PMHNP-BC

We’re proud to welcome Lilia Henriquez to the Pierce Counseling team.

Lilia provides psychiatric care for clients ages 15 and older through in-person and virtual appointments.

She specializes in:

Adult & geriatric psychiatry
Depression
Bipolar disorder
Anxiety disorders
ADHD
Psychotic disorders
Substance use disorders
Neurocognitive disorders, including dementia and Alzheimer’s disease

Lilia also brings a strong medical background in family practice, physiatry, and neurology, with experience caring for patients affected by stroke, brain injury, dementia, and Parkinson’s disease in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

Her care is collaborative, thoughtful, and patient-centered, with a focus on accurate diagnosis, medication management, supportive care, and improved daily functioning.

Grief does not always look like grief.

Sometimes it looks like:

exhaustion
irritability
brain fog
emotional numbness
feeling disconnected from people
struggling with normal daily tasks

A lot of people assume grief should look obvious. It often does not.

Loss can affect mood, focus, energy, relationships, and day-to-day functioning long after the outside world expects someone to be “doing better.”

Therapy can provide space to process grief in a way that is supportive, practical, and grounded.
