Dr. Sayeed, a Board Certified Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon has been part of the medical community on Long Island for over ten years. He received his medical degree from Stony Brook School of Medicine and completed his general surgery training at the North Shore LIJ Health System. He completed his training in plastic and reconstructive surgery with significant exposure to cosmetic, reconstructive and hand surgery at one of the premier plastic surgery practices in New York. He has also had extensive training in both adult and pediatric burns as well as surgical critical care at the world-renowned Shriner’s Institute for Children in Galveston. This experience included both acute and reconstructive burn care. He has presented his research in areas including breast reconstruction, hand surgery, wound management, burn care, and quality improvement in surgery at regional and national meetings. He has co-authored publications in peer-reviewed journals and was also given the privilege to participate as a co-author of the chapter on operative management of burn wounds in the latest edition of Total Burn Care. Dr. Sayeed has a special interest in innovation and new techniques in surgery. When applicable, he is able to offer these options over traditional procedures to his patients. This patient had a Follicular unit extraction (FUE) hair transplant using the ARTAS iX Robot. 2200 grafts were placed in the frontal and midscalp regions. This is his result 20 months after the procedure. He also had Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) injections after the hair transplant to increase density of his non transplanted hair. You can see a natural result where the donor site is not visible even with short hair.

For our patient shown, I performed a transconjunctival lower blepharoplasty, upper eyelid blepharoplasty, and facial fat grafting. Notice that there is still some excess skin in the post operative pictures in the upper lids. This was left intentionally since the patient's brow position is low. If the patient decides for a browlift and too much upper lid skin was removed, she would have trouble closing her eyes.

When the markings are made for upper lids you will notice the surgeon will elevate the brow to where it should be when marking to anticipate just this.
