I’m honored to share that I will be stepping into the role of Chairman of the Department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at Mercy Hospital, part of the Catholic Health system.

This is an incredible opportunity to shape the future of rehab medicine at one of Long Island’s cornerstone institutions. My focus will be on administrative leadership, clinical excellence, and education, helping grow and strengthen the department alongside a dedicated team.

While this new chapter will command the majority of my time, I want to reassure my patients and colleagues that I remain actively involved in my private practices. Ascend Medical will continue to provide the highest level of care through our exceptional team of physicians, who will handle the bulk of day-to-day clinical responsibilities moving forward.

I look forward to collaborating with the broader Catholic Health family and helping lead Mercy Hospital’s rehab program into its next phase of growth and innovation.

Percutaneous Lumbar Discectomy is a procedure that can be done for those suffering with low back pain that travels to the legs. It is a relatively quick procedure with very little downtime.
