Reliable access to telehealth and virtual care is essential to health and nutritional well-being, and helps to support rural and under-resourced communities while maintaining trust and the continuity of care between practitioners and their patients.

Though the recent government funding bill extended Medicare telehealth services, these extensions are only active through January 30, 2026.

Extensions of these waivers ensure continuity of care for patients and provide long-overdue clarity to providers whose claims have been on hold since the expiration of the public health emergency telehealth waiver.
