Our Story
West Coast Sports Medicine Foundation, founded in 1994, is a non-profit, 501 C 3 charitable organization dedicated to providing economically deprived high school students with an opportunity to participate in interscholastic sports and have access to high quality sports medicine care and services designed to improve health and ensure safety. At a time when many of this country's high school students are at risk from many of the negative influences of society, high school sports provide a valuable model for learning responsibility, dedication, social interaction, and team building.
Our goal is to keep student athletes healthy and participating in interscholastic sports by teaching them injury prevention and providing injured athletes with comprehensive and specialized medical care. To provide Team to Win services at 23 schools and to 13,000 student athletes at NO COST to the student or school. To help inner city, economically challenged students realize their dreams, free of gangs or drugs. To promote fitness, reduce the prevalence of obesity, have access to quality sports medicine care and services designed to improve health and ensure safety. To make a difference in the lives of Team to Win high school students. To provide Mentoring and Resources to At-Risk, Inner City youth.
