We begin

We are energetic beings of nature enliven by the cycle of the breath.

Each breath is keeping us alive. We need both the inhalation and the exhalation. The life giving breath opens us. The life cleansing breath clears our debris. which creates more landscape for the next breath. We are energetic beings, enlivened by the cycle of the breath.

What is quiet, still and peaceful?

It's a state of mind 🕊️

We spend so much effort in "waiting" to work on our mental health until the perfect conditions arise to do so. When we are someplace with no noise, when we aren't feeling fidgety or when life settles down.

The truth is - we don't need to wait until all the noise, the business or the chaos leave us - instead, we can begin to change the way our brain responds to life as we nourish our minds from the inside out and tend to our emotional and spiritual body.

Of all the ways meditation can alter your life, here are the top 3 things I STOPPED doing when I STARTED MEDITATING:

⫸ pushing myself to a breaking point:

with the awareness of how my mind + body are feeling, I am better able to assess when and where I need to pull back to prevent burnout

⫸ comparing myself to others:

In cultivating gratitude, I recognize that my pathway is unique and unfolds it's own divine timing

⫸ Shame spiraling on the past:

in bringing myself into the present moment, I accept that the past is immovable and instead spend my energy focusing on the lessons learned and the experiences that are part of who I am

IN PROCESS ~ Negative self-talk: as I bring awareness to the thoughts in my head space, I notice more any unkind words that are shared and reframe more quickly

Do not be afraid to come as you are.

A tree doesn’t worry about how tall it stands; it simply reaches for the light.

When we meditate, we allocate energy to the parts of ourselves that are in most need of healing. In a chaotic world, so often those stories/fears are hidden, shoved down, passed over in the hustle of our daily lives but as we settle into stillness and slow down, we allow the spotlight of our awareness to bring a brightness to the things that we are struggling with.

And as we bring awareness to any internal doubts, limiting beliefs or inner critiques, we are empowered to "name it to tame it" and that is the true beginning of our healing journey.

Because it is all harder to see in the dark, light becomes our most powerful catalyst.

We are interacting more in a less human way.

The media/internet/social media has decreased empathy within our society, causing a compassion deficit.

But there is hope. We have the self-healing modality of meditation to bring us back to the human root, to the heart.

Carry these loving-kindness thoughts with you today so you may experience empathy for self, for all beings inviting you to move forward in your day more kindly.

May my mind be filled with thoughts of lovingness: compassion, gratitude joy, and equanimity.
May I be generous.
May I be gentle.
May I be relaxed.
May I be happy and peaceful.
May I be healthy.
May my heart become soft.
May my words be pleasing to others. May my actions be kind.
May all that I see, heart, taste, touch, and think help me to cultivate loving friendliness, compassion, appreciative joy, and equanimity.
May all these experiences help me to cultivate thoughts of generosity and gentleness.

Although today is "Random Acts of Kindness" Day, we know that every day is an opportunity to share the compassion and love within to create a ripple effect outward in this world which is why we are SO excited to introduce you to one of our graduates from the RB Meditation Facilitator Training, who is doing just that.

Kirsten has so many gifts/talents (web-designer, painter, spiritual workship facilitator) and joined us in the training to further weave meditation into all the things that she brings forth in this world.

Kirsten loves traveling, being in nature and is truly such a kind and grounded being.

She is also the co-founder of , a Platform & Community for self-exploration, creativity, and mindset shifts.

Remember that being human means being imperfect.

Let yourself be you, laugh out loud, eat with the wrong fork, take the chance, make mistakes and learn from them. Instead of worrying people will find out who you really are, hope they do. As this is kind of radical acceptance spurs others to feel liberated in who they are as well. Help them by openly sharing yourself, and find the freedom in loving and accepting yourself fully.

p.s. We have been working on something SO special over the past few months with our friends at to support your mindfulness journey at HOME as meditation is such an integral part of cultivating deep self-love. Stay tuned friends! The big reveal is happening later this week! 🌱
