💆‍♀️ Facelift Recovery: What to Expect Week by Week

Thinking about a facelift but unsure what the healing process looks like? Here's a clearer view of your recovery journey:

🔹 Week 1:

Swelling, bruising, and tightness are completely normal. Rest with your head elevated, limit movement, and follow all post-op care instructions closely. Stitches are typically removed around days 5–7.

🔹 Week 2:

Swelling begins to decrease, and bruising fades. Most patients feel comfortable going out with light makeup or returning to desk work. Energy levels begin to improve.

🔹 Weeks 3–4:

You’ll start to see early signs of your refreshed appearance. Light activities like walking are encouraged, but avoid strenuous workouts. Many people feel socially ready around this time.

🔹 Weeks 5–6:

Swelling continues to resolve, and your facial contours become more refined. You’ll feel more like yourself and more confident in your appearance. Some patients resume more active routines.

🔹 Week 6 and Beyond:

Your final results continue to emerge as residual swelling gradually disappears. Full results can take several months to a year, but you’ll be enjoying a smoother, more youthful look long before then.
