End of an Era ✨ as of today, Katie LeMair Nutrition will be closing its doors to allow another one to open.

When I started this business 2.5 years ago I honestly didn’t have a clue where it would lead me. Reflecting these last few weeks, I am leaving with a deep sense of gratitude and pride for how I’ve grown in building this little business.

While I am sad this chapter is coming to a close, I am equally excited for the next. I’ve recently accepted the Associate Athletics Director of Sports Nutrition role at my alma mater, South Dakota State University 💛💙. SDSU is a place near and dear to my heart for so many reasons, and I can’t wait to get to work fueling the Jackrabbits 🐰 in the coming weeks!

To my clients: thank you, from the bottom of my heart. You all have taught me more than you realize, and I will forever cherish you trusting me to walk alongside you in your nutrition journeys. We have laughed, cried, and had many hard conversations together and I am thankful for it all.

To my mentors and colleagues (you know who you are): thank you for welcoming me into some amazing professional communities and supervision groups, and answering countless voice memos of mine over the last 2.5 years. You all have made me a better clinician, but more importantly a better person. I am proud to have gotten to know so many of you during my time as a private practice RD and am forever in your corner!

Exciting news for 2025 🥳🎊

I am so thankful to every client and colleague that supported my business in 2024. Y’all truly make my “work” feel like anything but that. For this, I feel incredibly blessed. 🫶🏻

I am excited to expand access to my nutrition services in 2025 through these insurance networks. This has been a goal of mine for a while and it is amazing seeing it come to fruition! Did you know many insurance plans cover nutrition counseling visits with a dietitian? 🤯

New season, new snacks!! 🥕🍏🍞🧀 Our concessions team worked with Katie LeMair Nutrition to brainstorm a list of healthy grab-and-go items that can help aid our Bulldog athletes before, during and after workouts, practices and contests (…and for the fans to enjoy as well, of course). We’re excited to share the first order is in and these items will be available tomorrow at the boys and girls basketball games! POV: you crushed your practice, but supper isn’t for another 1-2 hours….

Enter- Recovery Snack time!

To truly reap the benefits of your efforts on the field/court/track, I recommend refueling with a recovery snack or performance plate meal within 45min-1 hour of finishing up practice/workout/competition. I typically look for combinations that include:

💪🏼 Protein source to help muscles rebuild and recover.

🍞 Carbohydrates to help replenish glycogen stores after exercise.

🚰 Fluids (water, milk, or rehydration drink) to help replace fluids lost through sweat.

😋 Tastes good (obviously).

Try it out next time you’ve got a gap between practice and meal time!
