The Department of Rehabilitation Medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College provides services to patient of all ages experiencing a wide range of problems – from sore shoulders to major debilitating conditions. Our board certified physicians and fully trained staff use the traditional toolbox of exercise therapies, medications, and physical modalities, as well as incorporating fluoroscopically guid

ed spine injections and the bedside use of musculoskeletal ultrasounds to guide therapy and inform diagnosis. Our team-oriented approach, representing the core values of rehabilitation medicine, results in close collaboration with multiple other specialties, such as physical, occupational, and speech therapies, as well as neurosurgery, neurology, internal medicine, and pediatrics. The Division of Rehabilitation Medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College is active in these areas of clinical care, and is helping lead the way in advancing our specialty.

Grand Opening! Och Spine at NewYork-Presbyterian/The Spiral

A state-of-the-art spine center is now open in The Spiral at Hudson Yards at 504 West 35th Street. This new center brings together spine care specialists from Columbia and Weill Cornell Medicine, and will provide outpatient spine care for children and adults. When you come to us for spine evaluation or treatment, you'll have access to multidisciplinary care from NewYork-Presbyterian's orthopedic and neurological teams. This includes physical medicine & rehabilitation physicians, pain management specialists, radiologists, and physical therapists—all working side by side to set the standard for superior quality of care.

Opening in January 2025, Och Spine at NewYork-Presbyterian/The Spiral is a state-of-the-art spine center. Located in Hudson Yards in Manhattan, spine care specialists from Columbia and Weill Cornell Medicine will provide outpatient spine care for children and adults.

Marathon Training and Recovery Podcast with Dr. Jaspal Singh, MD

Dr. Jaspal R. Singh discusses what patients should know about training and running marathons. He also highlights the importance of recovery after running long distances. He goes over the importance of being physically and mentally prepared in advance of running a marathon and how runners should start preparing 4-5 months before a race. He gives advice on recognizing the difference between soreness and acute pains and when it's important to consult with doctors while training. He provides tips on what to do the night before and day-of a race and how to get mentally ready to cross the finish line.
