Balance for Better Living!
This August- Balance is the star! Balance isn't just about staying on your feet; it's a vital part of your overall health and well-being. It affects how you move, how you feel, and how you perform your daily activities. It’s summer pool time! Tonight was my first outdoor swim of the season and boy was it good! I got mesmerized by the way the sun and water formed prisons of color on the bottom of the pool, felt refreshed by the cool water hitting my skin, and got a healthy dose of people watching in between laps. It was pure joy.

As a kid the swimming pool was my second home. Year round I swam competitively and for fun. Though The I was never going to be an elite Olympic swimmer I loved it and I still do.

As I have gotten older I have discovered what a gift being able to swim has been for me. Not only has been great for my physical health it has also become a lifesaver for my mental health as well.

Being in the water always seems to bring me peace, the rhythmic movement of arms gliding through the water is almost like a meditative practice, being free of all electronic devices forces my attention towards the moment at hand.

I never feel like I am working out when I go for a swim. It never feels like a chore to do… heck I am just playing mermaid!

I try to remind myself and my clients that we should search out ways to move and be active that bring us joy!
