Why do I have a bookshelf of already known books? Because some days I am so weary, broken, tired, of new.
As I watch mother degenerate and my country crumble into selfish oligarchy, I can only handle so much. So I read Tiffany Aching or Dalinar Kholin or Wax & Wayne, or Dostoevsky, and I sit with the familiar friends who show up! Time and again. Because the most important step a person can take is the Next One. Again, and again, and again.
And while those who learn new may gain greatness; someone has to clip toenails, and clean the latrine, and just show the funky* up! *(auto correct, but I approve, because laughter is Medicine) We got this.
