Last week was intense. Mini art show for art class at Lawrence Arts Center; teacher / family conferences at school; Book Fair at school; ukulele class at LAC; gymnastics event as a family; Harper & cousins went to the pumpkin patch, while I crashed. 🫠

A visit to Ikea a few weeks ago (as seen here) and some online shopping have helped us make huge progress on updating Harper’s room to suit her taste as a tween.

Still a bit of sorting and organizing to do, but she loves having a more grown up bed and (finally) a desk.

She seemed so grown up to Cliff and me that day. Increasingly we are doing double takes at how much she has grown.

💜 VISIT THE AHDA LINK IN MY BIO TO TAKE ACTION IN SUPPORT OF THESE POLICY ISSUES.

It’s quick and easy! 💜

Today at our virtual Headache on the Hill event we asked our Members of Congress for their support on three key issues impacting the migraine and headache disorders community.

(1) Step Therapy / Fail First Policies

(2) Advancing Research for Chronic Pain Act - Directing the CDC to gather much-needed population data on people living with chronic pain, including people with migraine disease and headache disorders.

(3) CONNECT for Health Act - Making telehealth appointments a permanent option available to Medicare patients.

We already have a great deal of support for two of these issues:

(1) Making COVID-era telehealth provisions a permanent option for people on Medicare.

(2) Enacting the Safe Step Act to limit the ways insurers make it impossible to access the medications our doctors prescribe for us.

It was awesome to be able to say thank you, explain why these issues are so important for people living with headache disorders, and let them know we appreciate their efforts to advance those bills.
