🚨Animal Rescues Are Suffering! 🚨
With rising costs of living and vet prices, owning a pet is becoming quite expensive. We want to be as transparent as possible in hopes of encouraging those who are able to help rescues, to do so.
Here at Promise Rescue, our adoption fee to adopt a kitten is $175. For each HEALTHY kitten that comes in, we pay the following (and yes this is discounted rescue pricing):
Health Exam: $39
Spay: $143 OR Neuter: $121
F***l Test: $42
3 Standard De-wormings at $13 each: $39
4 FVRCP (feline distemper) boosters at $24 each: $96
Felv/FIV test: $32
Rabies Vaccine: $16
Total vet costs: $407 for females and $385 for males. Again, we charge $175!
These totals do not include if the kitten has any type of sickness, or food and litter.
This is why we need your help! We lose money on each animal we bring in. We try our hardest to not raise adoption prices, and when we do, people are upset saying we charge too much. We are at a loss of what to do to help!
