Manistee County Medical Care will have Trick or Treating from 3-4:30 this year on October 31st. The Activity Department is accepting donations for Halloween candy. Candy can be dropped off in Frank's mouth by the front office or with the Activity Department.

CERTIFIED DIETARY MANAGER

We are seeking a FT dedicated and experienced Certified Dietary Manager to join our team at Manistee County Medical Care Facility, a skilled nursing and rehabilitation center committed to providing exceptional resident care.

Responsibilities include:
• Overseeing daily kitchen operations and meal service
• Managing dietary staff scheduling and training
• Ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations
• Working closely with nursing and administrative staff to meet residents’ nutritional needs

Qualifications:
• Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) preferred or ability to obtain certification

• Experience in long-term care or healthcare food service required

• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills

Our residents embraced the sun and the breeze of Lake Michigan during a joyful outing to the Lion's Pavillion today for a lake side picnic that nurtured both body and spirit. The picnic brought out 17 residents and 14 care partners (staff) that filled the day with laughter, fresh air and connections. It brought back many joyful memories for our residents. A huge shout out to the amazing care partners who got everyone ready and set for the picnic. Your hard work, coordination and positive energy made it all happen - thank you!!!!

Some residents and staff gathered out front at 3:00 this afternoon to watch Rolling Thunder and the Vietnam Memorial wall and Middle Eastern Conflict wall go by as they traveled from the VFW Post #4499 to the Little River Casino. Thank you to staff, family members and Denise Peters for your help!
