Family friendly square dance Saturday February 10 at 7pm at Brown Township Hall, 8233 Coates Highway, Manistee. Bring your dancing shoes and your friends and get ready to swing a partner! All dances are taught. You don't need to remember anything from that time when you last square danced in sixth grade. The fiddle band: Louise Brodie, Tim Joseph, Marlene Wood, with caller, Wanda Joseph.

This Thursday is my last prenatal yoga class for a while! My focus is always helping find ways to move throughout their day to create ease and balance. I’m pretty shy about sharing personal details on social media, but I always appreciate learning about other people so here we go!
I am a homebirth midwife with a particular passion for helping families find their own way on the journey of pregnancy, childbirth and early infancy. The childbearing year is a time of profound moments and discovery and it is my honor to be a part of those moments. I offer full spectrum holistic prenatal, birth and postpartum care. I am a born and raised northern Michigander who loves long hikes in our beautiful forests. I am plant nerd and if you were around me this spring/ summer, you probably heard me going on about my favorite bird call app. I also love reading fiction, mostly women who write about female friendship and domestic details, if you want to hear me talk for a while, ask me about Jane Austen. On the other end of the spectrum, I love British murder mysteries. 🤷🏼‍♀️ I couldn’t do this job without my incredibly easy going and supportive husband, Trevor. He is the best dad and I don’t hesitate to leave anytime of day, knowing he will keep our ship sailing. He is a geologist and map maker for the US forest service and is also a professional musician. Our children are delightful and adventurous and challenging and they all have a particular love of babies. They love to see the pictures my clients send or their growing babies! Thanks for listening! I took my daughter to play practice last night and out of maybe twenty kids, there were four families (including ours) that have had babies at home!
