I'm doing covers of my favorite folk singers who sang songs of social justice, activism, and community organizing in their time. They sang during their generation's social revolutions. Its time for us to SING NOW too!

Dude, folks, Americans have stared down fascism before. And what did they do? They sang and organized and pushed back.
To quote Utah Philips:
"Freedom is something you assume. When someone comes to take it away, the degree to which you resist is the degree to which you are free."
So let's connect with the folk singers, the truth-tellers, from generations past. The stories of those who had the courage to give voice to the social struggles of their time and helped people to ACT to bring about change.
Again, it is a time to sing, to tell the truth, to connect with our loved ones, and keep the needle of progress moving forward.
Songs of the Revolution singalong will include:
Union songs
Social Justice songs
Women's Rights songs
Environmental activism
Spirituals
These are the anti-racist, the anti-capitalist, the decolonization
voices of the past. They come to help us now as so many rights and liberties that they fought for are being taken away.
So bring your anxious, weary heart. Bring your cynicism and your angst. Bring your doubt and your anger and your despair. And SING IT OUT!
