The show is up through December at the Colorado Springs Conservatory. An inspired organization supporting young musicians, performers and the arts. Check it out. Their last jazz night is this Friday from 7 to 9. The art is viewable
from 5 to 7 and Monday through Friday from 8:30 to 6 most nights.

Your choice and I will have extras, a watercolor brush (small) Papers: at least one sheet of black paper (Canson or similar), watercolor paper, a sheet or pad. Pencil, pen, ruler, eraser, (gold and white gel pens are optional and fun.) Any other tools you are inspired to use.

I am joyfully gearing up for a week in the Berkshires with Sara Moffat's LDBA Farm Camp. A month ago I was not sure this was inspired or on my list of intentions for the summer. It became clearer as I was with my grandson Atreya and daughter Riley in Amsterdam that I did want to be there. I began to feel the land calling me back, as well as Sara, and this opportunity to simply be the elder in a circle of youth, of wholeness and possibility.
Yes, an elder, a wisdom carrier, a visionary, artist, mystic. Titles that seem most authentic when we are called into service and respond. This calling comes from a deep soulful place, wakes me up in the night, presses in til there is attention paid and a listening to this presence I will call God. It is not separate from who I am, it is the fiber of my being awakening me to listen, inviting a state of being that is attentive, active yet still. I begin to see the possibility of co-creating with these children, and adults an earth mandala, a medicine circle, a wheel that honors our connection to this place, that opens an expanded window of light on this hill where sheep graze, wild yarrow and thyme grow. This is the sliver of light that I say yes to, that sets the intention into high gear and the emotion matching it. This energy, so precious and so abundant when we get clear, goes into motion and that which is held moves into form. So simple yet profound that we are creating our world, our lives, moment by moment in this way. The faith to hold the slivers of light illuminating our path, to pour into that our capacity to imagine anything, and all the forces of the Universe come to participate in our visions, our co creations. We do it every day in small ways and greater. This is mysticism, not magic. It is the aligning with intention and setting the "of course, I am on course" dial. It is being patient as things come together, loved ones see their parts in the design unfolding and resources flow to match the out picturing held. I am grateful for all, seen and unseen who gather to participate. Grateful to Sara for her vision of a camp where these young beautiful souls can reconnect to the wonders of nature, the earth, the water, the fire and the air. A vision to expand and express creatively as young warriors ( bow and arrow makers ), lovers , caretakers and future stewards of this earth.
A vision that expands with each breath and the joyful sound of happy campers splashing in cool lakes, streams, hands digging clay to make pots, campfires glowing, voices rising in song. All nurtured with gourmet meals, lovingly prepared over an open fire,
fresh from local farms. And grateful to the parents who have faith
to let their children go and grow in this environment. I am there now and will be then preparing the ground, opening the circle.

An Experience, through art of connecting to Universal Essence

Create mandalas - windows that open to new possibilities - and in the process discover a state of being that is a blueprint for inspiration (inspired action), joy and abundance.

The ‘art of wholeness’ is explored and experienced in the act of creating your own, personal mandala - a doorway to expressing the soulful self.

Instruction in tools and techniques using colored pencils and pastels on charcoal paper, and in creating value scales and exploring elements of design.

Exercises and meditations, guiding you to further awaken and activate your infinite self. Experience the joy and expansion of creativity and consciousness … in a safe and sacred environment with others.

No previous art experience is necessary
