We're excited to unveil the beautiful efforts of community and art that came together through a mural art boot camp at Red Craggs Arts & Agriculture House with Smokebrush Foundation.
Sponsored by the MACH grant, this six-week immersive program produced two 12' by 4' triptych panels representing the First Nations’ Peoples connection to the land and water. The mural incorporates symbolic imagery highlighting the sacred waters of Manitou Springs.
The Eagle (East) – Connection to nature
The Wolf (South) – Guidance
The Buffalo (West) – Strength and family
The Bear (North) – Love
Native medicinal plants represent the four cardinal directions.
Participants developed essential mural painting techniques, color theory knowledge, and composition skills, while also receiving business training on branding, contracts, and professional longevity in the arts.
