The beginning of a new year doesn’t need to be rushed.
It can be entered gently, with intention and care.

These are simple invitations for the first days of 2026 —
small ways to return to practice,
to awareness,
and to what truly supports us on this path.

May your practice continue to guide you,
on and off the mat.
.As we move into a new beginning,
I feel called to open something special for this community.
More details coming soon 🌿
Stay close.

With love 🤍
Suzi

As we move into a new beginning,
I invite you to let your practice be a path home.
A place where you listen inward,
soften effort,
and create space — on and off the mat.
As we step into the new year, may your practice continue to support you,
ground you,
and guide you with steadiness and care.

If you feel called to deepen your practice and walk this path together,
you’re warmly welcome to join me in the Expanding Light Yoga community.

With love and gratitude 🤍
Suzi

For many years, yoga retreats were a natural part of my path — spaces where I could step away from daily rhythms and immerse myself in practice, study, nature, and community.
Then life unfolded, as it does, and I spent many years without attending a single retreat.

Recently, a quiet knowing arose:
it was time to return.
To listen more deeply.
To soften.
To remember.
This week in Costa Rica reminded me why retreats are so essential.
Surrounded by jungle, ocean air, and the steady rhythm of nature, distractions fell away.
Practice felt richer.
Teachings landed more deeply.
Yoga was no longer something I did — it was something I lived.
And perhaps the greatest gift was connection.
With others walking their own brave and beautiful paths.
A reminder that we are not meant to do this work alone.

A retreat is not a luxury.
It is nourishment.
A returning.
A coming home to what has been patiently waiting within us.
With deep gratitude to this beautiful community 🤍

Ready to reconnect with yourself? Discover the importance of yoga retreats in my latest blog post: https://wix.to/ihTjw3X. It's time to prioritize your practice and well-being!

Welcome to "The Path," a blog where we delve into ancient wisdom teachings and explore their relevance in our modern lives. At the core of this journey is the transformative practice of yoga, as Yoga is a liberation teaching, given to us to help free us from the dramas and emotions of our daily live...

Watching my students move together with presence, strength, and trust always reminds me why I created this training.

This is the kind of awareness, confidence, and connection that grows when yoga is taught with care, depth, and intention.
Not just learning poses — but learning how to listen, how to guide, and how to hold space.

I’m deeply proud of the students who choose this path.
Women who are curious, committed, and willing to grow — not only as teachers, but as human beings.

What makes this training meaningful is not only the curriculum, but the way it supports each student individually:
• personal guidance and ongoing feedback
• a strong foundation in philosophy, anatomy, and embodied practice
• the freedom to move at your own pace, without losing depth
• a learning experience designed to feel personal, not crowded

If you feel drawn to teach yoga in a way that is grounded, conscious, and authentic, this path may be calling you too.

Every posture becomes softer and more meaningful when we enter it with patience and breath.

In this short moment from our practice,
I encourage students in the practice of Krounchasana
to move with steadiness,
to stay close to their breath,
and to choose awareness instead of effort.

This pose is not about how high the leg lifts — it’s about how spacious and honest the body feels inside the shape.

If you’d like to explore Krounchasana
(and many other asanas)
in a slow, supportive, step-by-step way,
you’re welcome to join me in our online course.

We take our time.
We listen.
We practice with intention.

🤍 I’d love to practice with you.

A day in the life of a yoga teacher is woven with intention — grounding before class, preparing themes with care, holding space, and continuing your own practice with curiosity and humility.
This is the heart of the 200h Teacher Training: not just learning techniques, but learning to guide from presence, connection, and awareness.
One of the truest strengths of this school is the personalized support.
You’re not one of many — you’re guided individually, with the care and attention that honor the traditional teacher–student relationship.

Jenna, one of our students, expressed it beautifully:
“Suzi has supported me every step of the way — helping me grow as a student and as the teacher I’m becoming.”

CAPTION:
When Jamie began her Yoga Teacher Training, she needed a program that could truly fit her life — long work hours, a demanding career, and the desire to grow at her own pace.

She chose the Online 200h Training, and what she discovered was more than a certification.

🌿 A curriculum that supported real growth
🌿 Assignments and feedback that created true connection
🌿 A flexible, go-at-your-own-pace structure
🌿 The confidence to begin teaching

Hearing stories like this is exactly why I love offering this program.

If you’ve been wondering whether an online training can be as meaningful as in-person — Jamie’s journey is a beautiful reminder that yes, it absolutely can be.

🪷 What matters most is the guidance, the structure, and the heart you bring into it.

I always carve out time to travel to Northern Wisconsin —
to teach, reconnect with friends, and spend time surrounded by nature. 🌿
Over time, that journey — the drive, the quiet before class, the familiar faces —
has become one of my grounding rituals.
Rituals don’t have to be elaborate — they can be as simple as breathing before teaching or sharing presence with others.

Here’s where you can practice with me:
🪷 Washington Island Recreation Center
– Chair Yoga • Mondays
– Yoga Flow • Thursdays

And when I travel north (about a 4-hour drive!),
I teach classes at the Discovery Center in Manitowish Waters whenever I can.

About Me

Hey everyone!! Thanks for stopping by my page! My name is Suzi and I'm a passionate educator who believes in helping you create your best life! I have relocated to the North Woods of Wisconsin 2 years ago and never regretted it. I live in a beautiful area of lakes, forests, trails, and great fishing! Yes, it does get cold, but the beauty of the area and silence of nature makes any feelings of cold just melt! My love for yoga continues to grow. I have traveled to India twice on Spiritual pilgrimages to practice and learn yoga philosophy. Last year I had the privilege of teaching yoga on a spiritual pilgrimage to Bhutan and now am fortunate to share my love of yoga to the residents of Manitowish Waters. Milwaukee was my home town where I received my Masters in Education from Alverno College and then relocated to North Carolina for 15 years before returning to my childhood cabin to reside. I love helping others achieve their goals through personal training, yoga, or just sharing insights. And last, but not least, I want to thank all those who have aided me and supported me on my life’s journey.
