Last night we celebrated with Logan Rooney as he was awarded one of Chamber of Manitowoc County’s Future 15! This award is given to 15 young professionals in the area who show leadership and give back to the community, making it a better place to live and work! We are so proud of him!

So proud of Logan!

Logan Rooney serves as Employment Services Coordinator at Ascend Services, Inc., where he helps individuals with disabilities find employment throughout the community. He assists with all facets of the job search including interviewing, resume and cover letter creation, and on-the-job support. He also educates community and business leaders on the benefits of hiring individuals with disabilities and the importance of equal treatment. His greatest reward is seeing someone receive their first paycheck and experience the pride of the work they have accomplished.

Beyond Ascend, Logan serves on the Board of Trustees at Wisconsin Maritime Museum, where he's also on the Fund Development Committee and serves as chairperson of the Cobia Committee. The museum holds special meaning, as he previously worked there for five years before joining the board in 2019. He's also a member of the Manitowoc Public School District Foundation Board and graduated from The Chamber’s Leadership Manitowoc County Program in 2021, gaining a deeper understanding of the community and the importance of investing in leadership to help a community grow.

Looking ahead, Logan aims to continue building his career in Manitowoc, connecting individuals with disabilities to their dream jobs. He believes that championing diversity, inclusion, and equality not only creates opportunities for individuals with disabilities but also strengthens the entire community.
