Tell us a little about yourself.
I grew up alongside my sister, who has disabilities, an experience that deeply shaped who I am and the work I feel called to do. I earned both my undergraduate and master’s degrees from Silver Lake College, where my passion for service and leadership continued to grow. I’m also the proud mom of two beautiful daughters, who remind me every day of the importance of compassion, inclusion, and believing in each person’s potential.
What does a typical day at work look like for you?
A typical day as an Executive Director is a balance of people, purpose, and problem solving. My focus begins with ensuring the 200+ individuals we serve are supported while empowering our team of dedicated staff to do their best work. Each day includes a mix of connecting with staff, collaborating with community partners, and making decisions that strengthen our programs and mission.
While no two days are ever the same, what remains constant is the heart of the work, creating opportunities, building confidence, and fostering inclusion. It’s meaningful, challenging, and deeply rewarding, and it’s a privilege to be part of an organization that changes lives every day
What inspired you to work here?
I was inspired to work here because of my lifelong passion for serving people with disabilities. Growing up alongside my sister, who has intellectual and cognitive disabilities, gave me a personal understanding of the importance of inclusion, support, and opportunity.
