Meet Emily. 💚

Emily joins as our Monday & Wednesday LiftHER Strength Coach, helping lead women through consistent, progressive strength training.

Emily brings a background in nutrition and fitness, through experience as a Registered Dietitian, Certified Personal Trainer, and Wellness Manager. She has trained across multiple disciplines — from powerlifting and bodybuilding to Tough Mudders — and believes strength can take many forms.

But what matters most to Emily isn’t complexity. It’s clarity. She loves helping people experience that “lightbulb moment” — when they realize they don’t have to do everything perfectly to make progress.

That simple, consistent habits can create real change in both physical and mental health.

At Juniper, Emily is excited to help women:

🙌 Build strength with confidence
🙌 Simplify their approach to fitness
🙌 Stay consistent in a way that fits real life

Outside of the gym, Emily loves to stay active by exploring national parks and catching Red Sox games with her husband (and yes - she once got a ball tossed to her by Jarren Duran... a moment she won’t forget 😉). At home, you’ll most likely find her bonding with her two pups, Rousey and Thor.

If a muscle isn’t working, most people try to strengthen it. That’s not always the problem.

Muscles don’t act on their own. They respond to input from your nervous system.

If that signal is weak, delayed, or disrupted— the muscle won’t fully engage.

So your body adapts.

Other muscles take over. Movement patterns shift. And over time, that becomes your new normal.

This is where most approaches fall short.

They focus exclusively on the muscle.

But the issue is often the signal.

Sometimes the pause is just as important as the push.

You’ve been moving through life at full speed—pushing through pain, ignoring the signals, telling yourself you’ll deal with it later.

Meet Randi Rose. 💚

Randi joins the Juniper Strength & Recovery Studio team as our Friday LiftHER Strength Coach, helping lead the women who show up early to build strength together.

For the past 9 years, Randi has worked as a nurse, spending most of that time in the Neonatal ICU caring for some of the smallest and most vulnerable patients.

Alongside nursing, she has also worked as a nutrition and CrossFit coach, helping people build strength, confidence, and resilience.

In 2020, Randi stepped into travel nursing, which gave her the opportunity to explore new places and drop into gyms across the country. With all the moving pieces that came with travel, she stepped back from coaching for a time.

Now she’s entering a new season.

As Randi transitions into a part-time staff nursing role, she’s excited to make fitness a bigger priority again and return to coaching.

She’s especially looking forward to helping build an inclusive and supportive lifting community for women here at Juniper.

Randi believes strength is about more than muscles — it’s about helping women discover their physical and mental strength, build confidence, and feel proud of what their bodies can do.

Outside the gym, Randi loves being outdoors — whether that’s backcountry camping in Alaska, hiking in the Alps, or simply enjoying time outside on a day off.

And one more thing… Over the past three years she spent 5+ months volunteering in South Africa on a Big Five wildlife reserve, supporting wildlife conservation. The work can be long and demanding — but incredibly rewarding — and it’s even inspired her to explore wildlife photography.

We’re so excited to have Randi helping lead LiftHER Fridays.

Juniper Physical Therapy is a private physical therapy clinic owned and operated by Dr. Elizabeth Wergin. (Liz is thrilled to have also expanded her team to include Dr. Stacey Eck.)
