Yoga for Men 🤘

Join Pete Waak for a 75-minute yoga workshop designed specifically for men, focusing on the areas that tend to feel the tightest.

You’ll learn foundational poses, simple breathing techniques, and what to expect in future classes so you can walk in feeling confident and prepared.

If you're brand new to yoga, this is a great introduction. If you've practiced before, this is a chance to slow down, return to the basics, and move with more awareness.

We'll also spend extra time opening common areas of tightness like shoulders and hips.

All levels are welcome.

Thursday, March 12 • 7:00 PM
$30 • $25 for Unlimited Members

This is why Waves exists 🤍

As I’m lying here sick in bed, I’ve been thinking about why I opened Waves in the first place.

When I was 13, I was hospitalized and admitted into an eating disorder recovery program. It was one of the hardest seasons of my life.

While I was there, they offered weekly yoga classes.

I don’t remember the instructor’s name.

But I remember how she made me feel.

For the first time, I felt at peace in my body. Present. Not at war with myself.

That changed my entire life.

I kept practicing throughout my teens and became certified to teach at 17. Over time, yoga became more than movement; it became healing, connection, friendships, and most importantly, home.

I’m 30 now, fully recovered, and so deeply grateful for the practice that helped me rebuild my relationship with myself.

Waves was always meant to be the studio I dreamed of.

Somewhere they remember your name.
Somewhere consistency feels possible.
Somewhere you can come back to that feeling- the one I first felt in 2013, over and over again.

The feeling of being at peace in your own body.
Of remembering who you truly are.

I know what it feels like to struggle quietly. I know what it feels like to walk into a room and hope you belong.

That’s why Waves exists.

Whatever brings you here, I’m so grateful you found us. I can’t wait to support you in your yoga practice.

Hugs,
Ariane

“I keep coming back because I feel like I belong.”

When someone says this, it reminds us why we opened back in 2018.

We wanted a studio that felt warm and welcoming.

Where people remembered your name.

Where you could build a consistent yoga practice.

A place to make friends.

And leave every class feeling better. 🤍

When life feels heavy, our members come here to exhale. 🩵

To unclench their jaw.
To quiet their minds.
To move without pressure or judgment.

If your body and mind have been asking for something softer and more supportive, consider this your sign to listen.

Comment HOME if you’re ready to build a yoga practice that actually feels sustainable.

Yoga is good for your nervous system.
Not just your muscles.

If your mind feels loud, your jaw is clenched 24/7, and you’re tired but wired, this is your reminder that movement can help you settle - not push harder.

This kind of yoga isn’t about flexibility or performing poses.

It’s about slowing things down enough for your body to feel safe again.

People tell us they leave class feeling calmer.
Clearer.
Less tense.

And that feeling actually stays with them through the rest of the day.

Imagine walking out feeling more like yourself instead of wiped out.

If your body has been asking for a reset, consider this your gentle nudge.

You deserve movement that helps you feel better after, not just during. 🖤

My mission is to provide a safe, serene, and welcoming space. A space where beginners or seasoned students can explore their own yoga, develop their own personal yoga journey, and self transformation. My greatest wish is for you is to find peace of mind, to deepen your mind-body connection, increase your self acceptance; and feel better physically, mentally and spiritually every day.
