Since 2024, our quilting and crocheting volunteer program has been making a meaningful impact — one handmade blanket at a time. To date, 62 handmade blankets have been donated to our cancer patients.

"Our patients are so appreciative for the thoughtful gift of a handmade blanket. Both staff and patients enjoy the uniqueness of each blanket, and it helps provide some much-needed comfort," said Megan Shvartsman, HFM Cancer Center manager.

Froedtert Holy Family Memorial Hospital leaders were honored to take part in today’s Reality Store at Manitowoc Lutheran High School. Presented by The Chamber of Manitowoc County, the Reality Store is a simulation activity in which high school students learn basic skills in financial planning, goal setting, decision making and career planning. After their trip through the Reality Store, students have a more realistic idea of the financial impact their future decisions will have.
