About half an hour ago during our last official planning meeting, I pledged to not swear publicly at this year's Women's Summit.

Making this video reminded me that if I stay true to my script and my emcee duties, that won't be possible. 🤣🤣🤣 Planning Committee, can I get a free pass for Carrie's title???

See you March 7th!

Are you wondering what to wear to the Summit this year? Or what food options will be available? Don't worry...I have you covered! 🤔

🍓🫐☕️🥚The incredible Smiling Moose is catering our food this year. For breakfast, expect fresh fruit, build your own yogurt parfait (dairy and non dairy options), hard boiled eggs, coffee, tea, & sparkling water.

🌮🥗🍪 For lunch we are offering a taco/nacho bar with all of your favorite toppings and chicken, beef, or beans for protein. We'll top that off with something amazing for dessert! All the same beverage options will be offered at both meals.

As for attire: Grab your favorite joggers or sweats and a hoodie. Come comfy and ready to participate. Check out the picture for our comfy looks from last year! 🧎‍♀️‍➡️

For the sound bath with Gina from Balance on Buffalo, we also recommend a yoga mat and a blanket or 2 blankets! 🪘🎶

2026 Women's Summit AGENDA announced:

••Welcome & Opening Remarks (Becky Richards)

••Overcoming Adversity (Tina Prigge)
Today is not the end of your story. Tina shares her personal experience and mindset in overcoming adversity. As they say in one of her favorite movies, “Galaxy Quest”: Never give up! Never Surrender! An attitude of “I can’t” has never proved useful. She inspires us to embrace an attitude of “I’ll figure it out”.

••Perimenopause, Menopause & Postmenopause Unfiltered: The Journey No One prepared Us For (Laurie Crawford)
Menopause impacts half the planet, yet most of us face it with more questions than answers. This is a straight-talking, judgment-free workshop to share real stories and practical tools ~ no medical advice, just honest conversation and community. You’ll leave informed, empowered, and reminded that you’re not broken ~ you’re in the middle of becoming more yourself than ever.

••Fueling Longevity: A Woman’s Guide to Aging (like a Badass) (Carrie Karbon)
This presentation will explore practical, science-based nutrition strategies that empower women to age with vitality, confidence, and well-being. Highlights to include combating weight gain, osteoporosis, heart disease, and managing the symptoms of menopause; all common concerns for the aging woman. This session will help to cultivate a positive mindset around aging and to take pride in your female body.

••Muscle is Medicine (Liz Wergin)
“Muscle is Medicine” invites women to rethink midlife by exploring how muscle is more than strength or appearance—it’s a powerful, active system that infl uences metabolism, energy, resilience, and long-term health. This talk offers a grounded, science-informed perspective on why building and maintaining muscle may be one of the most impactful ways to feel strong, capable, and well through every season of change.

••Lunch Break & Socializing: Today’s lunch purchased from: Moose on the Loose

••Rooted & Radiant: An Inner Sound Journey (Gina Armstrong)
We begin with a gentle guided meditation to ground your body and awaken your inner radiance, then drift into a layered soundbath that invites spaciousness, rest, and deep inward listening. This experience honors the wisdom you’ve gathered, the chapters you’ve lived, and the beautiful complexity of your becoming. We close with a soft reawakening and a quiet, lingering moment to be with any inner truth or tender insight that has risen to the surface.

••Closing Reflections & Group Discussion (Kristin Odell)

••Farewell & I am greatfull

Women's Summit is pleased to begin introducing presenters for the March 7, 2026 event.

Tina Prigge, Overcoming Adversity

Tina was born and raised in Manitowoc, Wisconsin.
After graduating from Roncalli High School, she received a scholarship to attend DePaul University in Chicago where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in International Relations and graduated cm laude in 1994. She was accepted into the Japan Exchange and Teaching Program and spent three years teaching English conversation in Japan. Living in Southeast Asia provided an opportunity for travel and she adventured around Japan, South Korea, Vietnam, Hong Kong, Thailand, Guam and Micronesia (where she earned her Underwater Naturalist certification in SCUBA diving). Following her time in Japan, she spent a year backpacking around the subcontinent of India and Nepal. From trekking to the elevation of Everest base camp (18,000 ft), around the Annapurna Circuit and via camel across the Thar desert.

Upon her return stateside, she resumed life in Manitowoc. She completed a decade of public service as Assistant to the Mayor of the City of Manitowoc and five years working for a publicly traded corporation before launching Vagabond Creative Studio with her husband/partner and fellow creative, Jason. A passion project of Vagabond Creative is the community brand
Coolest Coast that Tina and Jason developed to promote and share the many positive attributes of life in Manitowoc County.

Tina serves as President of the Manitowoc International Relations Association (MIRA), and is a Board Member of the Manitowoc Symphony Orchestra, and a Board Member of the Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC) of the Lakeshore.

Her life was upended in a near fatal accident in 2024, in which a distracted driver crossed the center line, leaving her a double amputee and shattering Jason’s leg.

Livin’ All Right is the platform she uses to share her amputee journey with others.
