When I first started meditation I had no idea wtf I was gonna do with my loud ass thoughts! Then through lots and lots of practice I started to feel more rested and centered. My therapist helped me understand how to process my thoughts I was still having during meditation and I am so grateful for his teachings! I always hear people say “meditation won’t work for me”….. but hunny it will! The bike didn’t just go straight and stop without you learning how to peddle or brake. You didn’t just wake up and know how to code an entire tumblr page in the tenth grade by MAGIC. no you work for it and you learn through trial and error. So if you tried meditation once and didn’t feel anything I urge you to try again. If you need recommendations feel free to message me 🫶🏻

what’s the perfect view? a range of mountains in the distance in my opinion.
as a fellow human apart of this mess of a world I have definitely been struggling with shifting to enjoying the “process” of things. I used to be frustrated from starting something or switching a product or starting a habit back up and not seeing the results and getting burnt out from going so hard. I would create guilt around the fact I was not this whole new woman with a 180 flip over night. BECAUSE that totally happens 🙃🤣 so now i’m shifting to get to my goals by enjoying the small steps it takes to get there. sometimes the s**t adult things also need some inner child play put into them so they can become more enjoyable. Like singing and dancing through mopping- talking to your mirror like a blogger while getting ready/ cleaning 🤣 you can time yourself in a race to see your fastest time calling your doctor or bank 😩 - if you made it this far, how do you make the small tasks more enjoyable or how do you get yourself through it?

Here are some affirmations to start saying to younger you. To say to adult you so they feel it too. Our brains are programmed from the get go from what we absorb and see our adults do around us. I would definitely say my personal fears are from listening to most of the adults around me either express that fear or do something to create said fear. Studying into the transactional analysis our child / adult / parent states are what drives us. Our adapted child needs help to understand it’s safe and your adapted adult definitely needs to understand that now YOU are in charge and healing from the thought patterns.

Here’s my magic 4 steps to get myself in the best mindset for the day. If I do all four of these AND drink my coffee with a full breakfast it’s basically the golden day of productivity. Coping ahead in my journal has definitely helped my anxiety lately.

i’ve put together a start to this series of facing the inner demons! I hope you can take one question this weekend and fill up a page or two and connect and face that inner self.

happy THUUUUUURSDAY ✨
something that I always made fun of and didn’t understand, thought i’d never stop my mind or body enough to actually meditate. I realized at some point at the beginning of my journey that it was a PRACTICE. I had to actively practice going into a meditative state. I had to work on my breath, my patience. it’s a practice I notice a huge difference in myself if I do it or don’t daily. if I start off my day with grounding and remembering the importance of the present, how my body is feeling, and releasing any energy that’s stuck that doesn’t need to be there. yes it may feel like you are laying there and doing nothing right away but with practice and using guided meditation if you find that helps you- you will achieve the deep introspection and the peace meditation can bring.
sooooo long winded but yeah… please try meditation. i love nothing more than waking up at 4/5 am whenever my body chooses and trying to meditate to a guided meditation and giving my brain food first before looking anywhere else or speaking to anyone. (and it’s okay if you fall asleep the work is still being done)
