✨ Let’s talk Pilates Pace ✨

At Studio E, we move with intention—and that means using Pilates pace in every single rep. Pilates pace is a six-count timing:
• Three counts to move in one direction
• Three counts to return

If the carriage isn’t moving, the same rule applies—three counts to reach the end of the movement, three counts to come back home. Simple… but don’t let that fool you 😅

That slower pace is where the magic happens. It builds strength without momentum, increases time under tension, improves control and stability, and challenges your mind-body connection. You feel everything—the shake, the burn, the focus.

You thought the Reformer was going to do all the work for you, didn’t you? 😏
Plot twist: it’s just sitting there judging your core while YOU do the sweating.

Those springs may look friendly, but they’ve got opinions. The carriage glides, the straps pull, and suddenly muscles you didn’t even know existed are clocking in for duty. The magic of the Reformer isn’t that it moves you—it’s that it challenges you to move better, stronger, and with control.

So no, the machine won’t do the work for you… but it WILL make you feel like a total powerhouse when you’re done. And maybe a little shaky in the best way.

Single leg bridging on the Reformer is already a challenge, but add the leg in the strap and it takes things to a whole new level 🔥
This variation builds strength through the glutes and hamstrings, challenges pelvic stability, and adds an incredible stretch through the hips and legs—all while keeping the core fully engaged.
