Willow Brook Senior Living Cooperative Willow Brook Cooperative is a 52 unit member-owned living community for independent adults 62 and up. There is no equity investor or landlord.

Welcome to the Willow Brook Senior Living Cooperative page! Cooperative living offers an affordable alternative to home ownership with tax advantages, a community lifestyle, and freedom from home maintenance responsibilities, inside and out. Each unit represents a 1/52nd ownership/share in the cooperative, which gives members personal involvement in governing the community. The purchase of the share is a one time cost associated with unit size. A monthly charge includes each unit's proportionate share of the operating cost of the entire cooperative. The monthly charge covers the mortgage principle and interest of the cooperative property, real estate taxes, underground parking, gas heat, sewer, water, trash/recycling, cable television, Wi-Fi, and on-site staff. Approximately 30% of the monthly charge is tax deductible because it covers real estate taxes and mortgage interest. The cooperative owns each appliance in the unit including: refrigerator, stove, microwave, dishwasher, washer/dryer, furnace and air conditioner. All appliance repairs and replacements are covered by the cooperative. Members are personally responsible for: electricity, telephone, and personal property insurance premiums. Our members enjoy daily and weekly events where they can easily make new friends and enjoy the common areas. These include: an inviting community room, library, craft room, game room, workshop, exercise area, and deck and patio overlooking scenic Glenwood Lake, marshes and wooded areas.
