Our team was able to help residents return to their rooms after an incident last week that required us to evacuate one of our resident wings. We would like to thank the teams from our sister facilities who came to help: Lakeshore Rehabilitation Center, Laurels Edge Assisted Living, and Oaklawn Rehabilitation Center. We would also like to thank the community members who reached out with well wishes for our residents, staff, and facility.

𝐌𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐚 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐇𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐑𝐞𝐡𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫
On the evening of June 26, a vehicle left the roadway and struck the southwest side of the building. Emergency services responded promptly, and one resident sustained minor injuries and was transported to MCHS for further evaluation. We are grateful to report that all other residents and staff were unharmed.

Following the incident, residents in the affected area were safely relocated within the facility. At no time did the incident compromise our ability to provide care. We are working closely with law enforcement and emergency responders as they continue their investigation, and we thank them for their quick and professional response.

The safety and well-being of our residents is—and will always remain—our top priority. We are conducting an internal review of the incident and will take all necessary steps to ensure continued safety and support for those in our care.

We will share additional updates as appropriate and appreciate the community’s concern and support.
