📣Heart families that are planning to come to our event at the Kiwanis Holiday Lights....📣

They have decided to cancel the train rides for tomorrow night. However, the park is still open and we'd love to see you!

We will have goodie bags inside either the concession area or the giving barn. That is still TBD. Each person who attends will also receive a coupon to use in the concession stand.

If you are thinking you may just drive through let us know and we can have some gift bags at the entrance for you!

November 29, 1944 the first "blue baby" surgery was performed.

The Blalock-Thomas-Tausigg Shunt was created to help increase blood flow to the lungs for children born with various congenital heart defects.

So much gratitude for the these three doctors that helped make it a reality. Without their efforts many heart kids wouldn't have a chance at survival. Also, a huge thanks to the families that came before us that allowed their children to be the test subjects for procedures like these.

Our holiday party is just over a week away! Don't forget to let us know if you want tickets for the 6:30 train ride! Please include the amount needed and the ages for each person!

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT!

Due to some circumstances beyond our control we are changing the date and location of our holiday gathering!

We hope many of our heart families can join us on December 7 anytime between 5 and 9 at the Kiwanis Holiday Lights at Sibley Park in Mankato. When you arrive, we will have a goodie bag for each child, as well as a coupon for each person to redeem in the concession stand good for any food/beverage items up to $2! Goodie bag location is still to be determined.

Please comment on this post if you would like to reserve a spot for the 6:30 train ride (weather permitting). The train holds roughly 54 people so first come, first serve! Please include how many tickets needed and ages of each person! Please remember this event is for immediate family only.

While at the park you can take in the beautiful lights, vote for Lasting Imprint's tree, and visit Santa! If children come with a letter to Santa that includes an address, Santa will write back! Be sure to leave letters in the mailbox by Santa's house.

THIS IS NOT A PRIVATE EVENT. YOU WILL NEED TO EXPECT SOME DELAYS. You may park outside the park and walk in or drive thru and try to find parking within the park. There is no guarantee you will find a spot in the park.

Our board will be volunteering in the park that night so be sure to say hi and ask us to take your photos!

We had such a fun time helping set up at the Kiwanis Holiday Lights today! Our organization is happy to help lend a hand in providing the Mankato area with an amazing holiday experience! In return, Kiwanis gives us a donation for our efforts.
