A fertility consult is not a commitment to treatment and it is not a rushed checklist.
For many people, it is simply a conversation and a chance to finally get clear answers.
At your first fertility visit, we spend time reviewing your full history including cycles, prior pregnancies, losses, contraception, medications, and overall health. We talk through what you are experiencing now and what your goals actually are. Some patients want to conceive soon. Others just want to understand their options or timing. Both are completely valid.
We do not order labs or start testing blindly. Instead, we decide together what makes sense for you based on your history and concerns. For some patients, that means targeted labs. For others, it may mean reassurance, education, or a plan to monitor over time.
Most importantly, there is no pressure. A fertility consult does not mean IVF. It does not mean medications. It does not mean you have to decide anything that day.
It simply means you leave with more information, a clearer understanding of your body, and a plan that fits you.
