What is EMDR Therapy?
· Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) – A highly researched, effective psychotherapy modality that helps people fully process and resolve their most stressful or upsetting life experiences from the past.
o Why is this needed? Your past experiences subconsciously influence your current behaviors, habits, and how you handle stress in the present.
What does EMDR do?
· It unlocks and releases stored emotions from your nervous system (the ones that keep you stuck in stress, dissatisfaction or negative habits) returning your body back to a parasympathetic (‘rest and digest’) state.
· It assists the brain to re-wire naturally, resolving the negative beliefs that were developed by past experiences and restoring them with more accurate, helpful beliefs.

· It is highly researched and effective for treating a range of issues and problems, such as: traumatic experiences, anxiety, depression, urges/addictions, addictive behavior or negative habits, eating disorders, grief and loss – pretty much anything that causes distress in life can be re-processed in EMDR.
