**Update: The family has changed the location for the funeral and burial**
It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Minister Johnnie Mae Miller.
On Sunday, March 8, 2026, Min. Johnnie Mae Miller, widow of the late Curby Mays Jr., passed away peacefully at her residence in Sumter, South Carolina.
Born on Saturday, October 30, 1954, in Manning, South Carolina, she was a daughter of the late Albert and Mary Thames Miller and the late Johnnie Mae Cooper Benbow.
Services celebrating her life will take place on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at 3:00pm from the Fleming & DeLaine Chapel, 222 West Boyce St., Manning. Apostle Jerimiah Blanding of True Ministries Full Gospel Church of Augusta, Georgia will preside. The Rev. Robert E. Gibson, pastor of the True Word Missionary Baptist Church, Paxville will bring words of comfort. The service of committal will follow in the family plot located in the Elizabeth Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, 4829 Alex Harvin Hwy., Ram Bay Community of Manning.
Public viewing will take place on Friday, March 14, 2026 from 4:00pm - 6:00pm at the Fleming & DeLaine Chapel, 222 West Boyce St., Manning.
The family is receiving relatives and friends from 4:00pm - 9:00pm at the residence, 206 Butler Lane, Sumter.
