Led by husband-and-wife duo Adrian and Mariana, Tamale Addiction was born from hard work and a passion for cooking. We took a few trips around the block trying to sell Mexican desserts and flautas before discovering our niche: tamales. Since then, this family vending business has turned into a larger success than we could’ve ever imagined. We make each tamale by hand using the highest-quality ingredients out there. We want to take a moment to speak with honesty and transparency.

Like many small food businesses, we’ve been navigating significant increases in the cost of ingredients, packaging, transportation, and labor. Despite our best efforts to absorb these changes, the reality is that it’s no longer sustainable for us to maintain our current prices.

Starting this month, you’ll notice a small price adjustment on our products.
This decision was not made lightly—it comes from our deep commitment to keep bringing you the same high-quality, handmade tamales made with organic masa and real ingredients you can trust.

We’re not here to cut corners. We’re here to endure, to stay local, and to keep showing up for you at the markets, the food truck, and the stores you love.

🌽 A Note From Our Kitchen: A Price Update with Heart 💚🫔

At Tamale Addiction, every tamal we make is hand-wrapped, slow-cooked, and filled with love. We use organic masa, responsibly sourced ingredients—many of which travel from Mexico to our kitchen here in Austin. That means fresh produce, real chiles, and family recipes that honor tradition.

Over the past months, the cost of everything—from tomatoes and jalapeños to compostable packaging—has continued to rise. We’ve done everything we can to absorb the increases, but as a small, independent business, we’ve reached a point where we must make a change to stay sustainable.

Starting August, our prices will increase slightly to reflect the true cost of crafting the food you know and love. This decision was not made lightly—but it’s one that ensures we can keep showing up for our community with the same quality, care, and flavor you deserve.

We’re not a chain. We’re a local family with a deep love for what we do. Thank you for supporting small, choosing consciously, and honoring the work behind every bite. ❤️
