Melissa C.R. Pelletier, LCSW For over thirteen years Melissa Pelletier has provided clinical services to individuals and families. This curriculum is now trained throughout the State.

Melissa specializes in gender-specific treatment with girls and women with a particular focus in holistic trauma treatment. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and Women's Studies and a Master of Social Work degree both from University of Connecticut. She earned her clinical license (LCSW) in 2009 and began her private practice in 2010. Throughout her clinical career Melissa has provided therapeutic services on an outpatient basis in the greater Mansfield community as well as in intensive residential treatment for juvenile justice-involved adolescent girls in the custody of the Department of Children and Families and the Court Support Services Division. Melissa functioned as Clinical Director for nearly 9 years and has extensive supervisory experience as well as diagnostic and case consultation work. Melissa is trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Emotional Freedom Technique, Accelerated Resolution Therapy, and numerous other trauma-informed practices. In 2016 she earned a certificate in Traumatic Stress Studies from the Trauma Center at the Justice Resource Institute. She also has vast training in treating youth who are survivors of Domestic Minor S*x Trafficking in Connecticut. In partnership with the Department of Children and Families Melissa assisted in the writing and development of a gender-specific training called, "Understanding Girls, a Trauma-Informed Perspective." In 2018 Melissa completed her year long training at the Institute of Integrative Nutrition and is a Holistic Health Coach. She blends this unique approach of health and wellness into her clinical work with clients . Melissa approaches her clients in a very relational and compassionate manner. She is a believer that healing is possible and partners with her clients throughout their sometimes difficult and painful journeys. She also offers clinical supervision and case consultation services for other therapists.
