We're coaching couples pretty regularly, and what we're finding is that many couples struggle with communication, especially when there is conflict. This struggle seems to be the biggest problem in their marriage. This pattern leads couples away from peace in their marriage. So, we created this poster of one of the skills/guides we use to help couples develop heathy communication skills. We have researched many other ideas for steps, formulas, strategies, templates, etc, but we wanted to create something that aligns better with our style and language.
And, now, we wanted to make this idea available for anyone else who is looking for ideas. Maybe our idea can help you and others. Have a wonderful day!

Positive interactions can have a number of positive effects on the brain, including:

1. Releasing feel-good chemicals: Positive interactions trigger the release of oxytocin and dopamine, which are neurotransmitters that contribute to positive emotions and well-being.

2. Strengthening neural networks: Socializing can help strengthen neural networks in the brain.

3. Improving memory and attention: Socializing can stimulate memory and attention.

4. Increasing motivation: Positive interactions can build motivation. For example, when a student receives positive feedback, their brain releases dopamine, which can motivate them to continue working on a skill.

5. Increasing conversational intelligence: Positive interactions can increase a person's ability to connect and think creatively, empathetically, and strategically with others.

6. Increasing longevity: Social ties can be a key factor in increased longevity.

In contrast, negative interactions can cause levels of cortisol, a stress hormone, to spike and remain elevated for over 24 hours. Cortisol can shut down the thinking center of the brain and activate conflict-aversion and protection behaviors.

Some ways to engage in positive social interactions include: Volunteering, Joining clubs, Getting active in sports or cultural activities, and Sharing hobbies.

Brain science tells us why positive student relationships can lead to their success.
