I am a family physician and the founder of Livingspring Family Medical Center -a private practice born August 2020 in Mansfield, Texas. I help people (young and old) live long and well because I believe the quality of one’s life is just as important as the “quantity” of it. I am known to help people make their health a priority. I make the most of their wellness visits- these are your annual check

ups where we discuss ways to prevent illnesses for the now and the future. I combine healthy lifestyles and medications to improve health. I do all of the above on a platform of sincere care because I believe you do better when you feel sincerely cared for. I also believe in God as the originator of all true healing and I serve as a conduit - a channel- extending that to others through the medical services I provide. My goal is to leave this world a better place than I met it, one patient encounter at a time. I love dancing. I am Christian and I love the colors teal and orange. I am a wife and a mama of two. Remember our live session on How to Prevent Falls At Home?

Our guest added that sometimes it’s not big things…
It’s the small small details 😌

Like:

🧶 Loose rugs — remove them or secure them properly
🔌 Cords on the floor — let’s tuck them away oh 😄
🪑 Declutter your space — give yourself room to move

She told a client…

“Let’s move this cord behind the drawer” 👀
Because one small step… can become one big fall

Also:

🚿 Add grab bars in the bathroom
🚽 Consider raised toilet seats
💡 Improve your lighting — very important!

Sometimes it’s too dark and you don’t even realize it 😮‍💨

Let’s make our homes safe spaces 👊🏾

Because prevention?

Let me give you one simple habit that can improve your digestion. 🤩

Movement 💃🏾

Yes oh… just move 😄

You don’t have to do plenty…

🎶 Put on music
💃🏾 Dance small
🙏🏽 Praise and worship counts too 😌

Even me… I’m still practicing my moonwalk 😂

But here’s the key:

🚶🏾‍♀️ Walk 10–15 minutes after meals

That simple habit?

✨ Helps your gut
✨ Improves digestion
✨ Keeps things moving 👊🏾

And the Bible even tells us…

Physical activity has value 💕

So no pressure…

Just start
Stay consistent

It’s your body getting to work 😉

This is when:

✨ Growth hormones are released
✨ Memory is stored
✨ Creativity is formed

Even that gym work you’re doing? 😄

The results don’t happen there…

Do you know that they happen during sleep 😲

So if you’re skipping sleep…

You may be skipping results 😮‍💨

Sleep is not laziness 🥱

It is strategy. 🎯

Sometimes it’s not just “insomnia”

📱 Too much screen time (yes… even this one you’re watching 😄)
😔 Carrying tomorrow’s worries into tonight

So let’s gently reset 👊🏾

Try this tonight:
📝 Write down tomorrow’s tasks — get it out of your head
📵 Reduce screen time at least 1 hour before bed
🎧 You can listen… you don’t have to watch
🌬 Slow your breathing — calm your body

And one of my favorites…

Take a moment to reflect:
“What went well today?”

Even if it’s small… it counts 😌

A hug… a win… progress 👏🏾

Then do something powerful…

🙏🏽 Give tomorrow to God

“Lord… I’ve done my best today, I’ll try again tomorrow”

Release it 😌

Let me tell you the mistake many people are making 👀

They focus on losing weight quickly instead of building habits that protect their health long term 😮‍💨

Now get this clearly…
Medications? Helpful 👩🏾‍⚕️

But they are not a substitute for lifestyle 👊🏾

If you don’t build the habits…

The body will push back

And even when weight drops… you may not feel better 😔

So let’s shift focus:
🥦 Balanced meals (real food, good protein)
💤 Good sleep
🚶🏾‍♀️ Daily movement
😌 Stress management

And please…

Don’t carry the weight God did not give you to carry 😊

Your body is a gift

When you deprive yourself of sleep…

you’re not just “pushing through”

You’re actually denying your body the chance to live well and live long 👀

Because sleep is where:
📌 Healing happens
📌 Restoration happens
📌 Your body resets
And for my faith family…

Sleep is not a weakness 😌

It is trust 🤗

God modeled rest 🙏🏽

So when you sleep, you’re saying:
“Lord… I release control”

Because ehen… you cannot be awake and God be awake on your behalf at the same time 😄

Rest is obedience

Rest is trust

Rest is medicine 📌

If you’re always tired… 👀

It might not just be “stress”

It could be inflammation 😮‍💨

Now you may not “feel” inflamed…

But inside?

Things may be a little… sticky 😅

And that matters because it increases risks we don’t want

So what can you do?

Let’s keep it simple 👇🏾
