Myth or Fact? Midwives only attend home births.

NOT TRUE! 🙅‍♀️ While some midwives do support home birth, many also provide care in birth centers and hospitals (like we do at Midwife+Co). Midwives are trained healthcare providers who can care for women across pregnancy, birth, postpartum, and even well-woman gynecological care.

Earlier this month, our very own Midwife Samantha welcomed a beautiful baby girl into the world at the birth center. 💕 We’re honored to share a glimpse of her birth experience, told in her own words:

"To be guided through labor and birth by these amazing women that I work with was one of the most profound experiences of my life. Birth is such a beautiful, difficult, and sacred thing. To be a midwife and have the privilege of walking that journey with other women is an honor, and I’m blessed to call this my career. To be on the receiving end of such loving and uplifting care was transformative, empowering, sacred, and beautiful. Every fear or doubt I spoke was met with loving reassurance and tender care. These amazing women reminded me that my baby and I were safe, that I was strong, that I could go on. They reminded me of my primal power as a woman and reassured me that God was in the room with us. While the details of that day may fade with time, I will always remember and cherish the way that this team made me feel and the beauty of this journey that they guided me through. For that, I am endlessly grateful, and proud to be a part of this team and what we do. Thank you ♥️"
