From the moment Lindsey walked through our doors, she has been a light for the entire CEPT team. She makes every team member and patient feel like family, always ready with a smile. As a speech therapist, Lindsey has always shown dedication to providing the highest quality care, building bonds and relationships that help her patients and families feel safe, supported, and truly heard. In just one year, Lindsey has helped many children receive their AAC devices and shared the incredible moment of when they spoke to their parents for the first time, she has helped to give patients who stutter the confidence to speak out and let their voices be heard, and has brought a contagious energy to the speech team that helps to make every day at work fun.

Lindsey, we are so grateful for your unwavering positivity, compassion, and joy. I’m so proud of all that you have accomplished, and congratulations on one amazing year as an SLP. We can’t wait to see what the next year brings! 😄

Please join me in celebrating Shalee Salcido on her 3 year CEPT-iversary!

Shalee began her journey with us as an OTA student in January 2022 and quickly showed that she was meant to be part of this team. Later that same year, she returned as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, continuing her journey with even more passion and dedication.

Over the past three years, Shalee has grown tremendously not only in her clinical skills but also as a leader within our department. Her advanced knowledge in emotional regulation and mental health has made her the go to clinician in this area, leading to her well-deserved promotion to Emotional Health Specialist. She has mentored multiple Level II students, co-presented SIP & Learn sessions, and played a key role in advancing mental health awareness and supporting her colleagues with complex cases.

Shalee, your compassion, expertise, and willingness to go above and beyond make such a meaningful impact on our patients, their families, and the entire team. We’re so grateful for all of your contributions these past three years and we can’t wait to see all of the amazing things you’ll continue to accomplish!

Please join me in celebrating our Mansfield Office Manager, Bethanie Lewis, on her two year anniversary with Cutting Edge!

Bethanie is a true team player who deeply cares about Cutting Edge, our patients, and our staff! She is always willing to step in wherever she can and consistently brings ideas to help us grow. Her positive attitude and supportive nature make her a joy to work with and she is loved by everyone that gets the pleasure of working with her.

On a personal note, Bethanie holds a special place in my heart as my pregnancy buddy. Getting to experience the transition to motherhood together was such a special experience. A big thank you to everyone who supported us during that wild (but wonderful) time.

Today marks a special milestone: Mahlon Ware is celebrating 8 years of employment at CEPT.
Mahlon stated with us as a part time COTA then moved quickly to a full time COTA. He later decided to bridge and become an OTR. Not too long after becoming an OTR, he was promoted to the Lead for the Occupational Therapy department in Mansfield. Fun fact, Mahlon started out working in Allen, then at both locations before he landed full time in Mansfield.

Over the past eight years, Mahlon has been a driving force behind the exceptional care, professionalism, and innovation that defines our OT team. His leadership, clinical expertise, and dedication to both clients and colleagues has made a lasting impact.

Please join me in congratulating Mahlon on this remarkable achievement. We are incredibly fortunate to have such a passionate and skilled leader at the heart of our OT department in Mansfield.
